I want to buy a new digital camera for myself but i don't know which one to get.
I want to be able to take really detailed macro shots but i don't want to spend more then 270ish, any suggestions?

I don't have a lot of experience with different cameras, but I love my mine....
It is a Fujifilm Finepix F50SE 12-mega pixel, and it make images that are 4000x3000 pixels....
I bought it on sale last Nov for about $230 at Best Buy....
I am pretty sure it has come down in price some by now, or there is something better in that price range....
If you are going macro, you need to set of the lighting conditions so that you don't need the flash, and you will need a tripod to hold it steady....
New to photography in general, there is still a lot for me to learn - and I don't like reading books to figure shtuff~ like this out....  
These are sized WAY down to upload them here, but you can see how the micro-details were captured very well....
The pyrite ball that looks like a metal flower in the mid left of the picture is no bigger than a pea....
And the section of this pyrite crystal cluster is about 1.5" across....
Again, the regular size of this picture is 4000x3000 pixels, and is sized down....
And, I think the colors are pretty outstanding....

Check out the Nikon Coolpix line. I had the coolpix P4. It was great, I loved it.
