This was my local news http://www.pnj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080515/NEWS01/805150328&referrer=FRONTPAGECAROUSEL
A Cantonment couple's domestic dispute late Tuesday led Escambia County deputies to the discovery of more than 530 marijuana plants, sheriff's officials said.
When deputies arrived at the home of Johnny and Kathryn Holliday in the 1400 block of Wishbone Road about 11:45 p.m., the pair were arguing about the husband's involvement in the sale of marijuana, Sheriff's Office spokesman Glenn Austin said Wednesday.
"He kept telling his wife not to say anything and was acting real nervous," Austin said. "The wife finally told investigators there were hundreds of plants growing on the property."
Austin estimated more than 530 plants were recovered from the property.
Investigators also seized an additional 100 plants from the home of Johnny Holliday's sister, Wendy Barnes, 55, who lives in the 400 block of Crown Dale Court in Cantonment.
Barnes told investigators that her 53-year-old brother stayed at her home frequently and had a garden in the backyard. The marijuana plants were found off a well-beaten path leading from the garden into the woods.
Both crops are believed to be from the same growing operation, Austin said.
Johnny Holliday was charged with battery, producing marijuana, marijuana trafficking in excess of 25 pounds or 300 plants, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He was being held Wednesday on $115,000 bond at Escambia County Jail. His first court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today.
Austin said charges have not been filed against Kathryn Holliday, 63, or Barnes. The case still is under investigation, he said.

Yet the bond for soliciting a minor under the age of 14 for sex is $40,000 (+/- 10,000). That makes sense!

Armed trafficking is a serious offense in Florida, that's why his bond is high.

The thesis that I want to advance today is that the drug war and the laws that prohibit the private consumption of certain drugs are unconstitutional. Prohibition laws, themselves, violate every tenet of limited government that is embodied in our Constitution.
