 question about acid

yeah Im getting a hit of acid for me and my friend to trip on for the first time. i was honestly gonna start with mushrooms but i want to hallucinate and not many of my friends actually hallucinate on mushrooms. what i wanna know is if i will achieve hallucinations with just one hit of acid.

I hallucinate a hella lot more on shrooms than acid...like 10 fold actually. Acid tends to be a gentle, intricate, intriguing ride for me, that lasts a good long while.
Shrooms fuck my whole world, everything is moving and waving, my body feels fucking weird, but I also have very intense shroom trips according to my wife...she says she wishes she could trip like me...lol
anyways, drugs react different ways to different people...i say get the cid now if it is good and you can get it, as it is hard to find sometimes...shrooms are always around, and almost always of similar quality.

thanks for the post. i was going to get mushrooms but then my people say none of there dealers are supplied with em. so i thought at 10 dollars a hit its about the same id spend on mushrooms wich is 20 bucks and i was planning on consuming half of the 8th. so i hope i have a good time.

if you want to have hallucinations, don't waste time with half and eigth, take it all, you WILL hallucinate, and trip your balls off. But if you can get the good acid, buy yourself 2 hits, take one, should be plenty if it is good, if it is weak, you may need the other one, wait 2 hours just to be safe.

Heh...the first time I ever did acid it was definitely because I wanted to "see shit move!" And I definitely did, a lot. There are these stretches of sidewalk on Broadway that have glitter mixed in with the gravel and as I traversed them it was as if I was suspended high above this astral plane, galaxies in the distance far beneath my feet. That's just one of a million images that night has left in me. What's really great though, is how much beauty and meaning there can be in the experience, that the visual part is only one part of...I hope you have a great time!

depends how good the acid is. I took four hits of acid one time and I was only beginning to hallucinate, it sucked

I seriously doubt 1 tab will be strong enough to give you hallucinations. Based on the quality of tabs that tend to go around nowadays.. 
In my experience, the addition of GOOD herb significantly enhances the visual aspect of the trip for me. That would probably be the best route to go IMO.

You obviously don't know what you're in for, but whatever. The more you do, the more you hallucinate, but also the more intense it is. And acid is intense.

Try not to worry about what it will do to you, as long as you are in a safe place, with people who are mentally stable and have everything you need, just lay back and enjoy yourself. Preconceptions can really get in the way of drugs, don't expect too much, the most i've ever enjoyed drugs is usually when i am trying them for the first time and have no expectations. Either way, i hope you enjoy yourself.

If you wan hallucinations the way you think of them try datura. You just sound like some teenager who saw Jack Black's mushroom trip in Pick of Destiny and now you want to see bigfoot and rainbow world too.
Seriously, you'll really be dissapointed with LSD when you end up not talking to chairs or traveling backwards through time.
To answer your question, though, LSD from my experience has been a lot more fun and social and more intense visually, while shrooms are more spiritual. And the body high from shrooms gets a little annoying.

LSD will make you see shit... A lot of weird crazy stuff goes down if you take enough. With LSD, it seems like everything becomes alive, while you become closer to being dead.

mushrooms are a lot more visual for me. Even on low doses the walls move and I feel like I'm in a giant aquarium or something with the walls shimmering all around.
With LSD, really no matter the dose, there are going to be times where you feel completely sober. You may have to do a little reaching to see things move, but they definitely will. On lower doses of medium purity it tends to be small things, like noticing the fabric of your pants ebb and flow or noticing the patterns on your sheets slide around like snakes. It WILL be subtle at a low dose. The only thing that will remain throughout the entire trip is the space/time distortion.
High doses will produce varied results, but in my research I have found that even at its highest doses I still feel like I'm connected, whereas on mushrooms I feel like I'm floating through outterspace. But you will get really nice visuals at higher doses, especially your first time; when I did my first high dose I whited out at points, the visuals got so intense that they felt as if they were going to burn my eyes. But no, no talking to chairs.
If you're looking for something similar to what A Scanner Darkly mentioned, I'd say go for the mushrooms. I've never talked to chairs on mushrooms, but I've definitely read their minds. And they definitely distort space and time to the point of almost irrecognition constantly, there are rarely moments of sobriety unless you have a good tolerance.

I know what you mean about times when you feel sober on acid. That's what I love about it, last time we tripped, two girls were with us and they barely tripped because they just sat in a tent and did nothing but talk gossip. (it wasn't my idea to bring them!) But the rest of us (3 dudes) had a pretty sweet trip. You can control yourself so much more on acid I think.

I don't know how many times I've had to point out the subtle things that are happening to people while on even medium doses. I think people hit valleys moreso on acid than on mushrooms and they tend to think "oh i'm completely sober this drug must not have worked" and by the time they're cuddling the sofa or feeling the carpet move they're already convinced that it's just placebo.
expectations are always too high for this drug.

The major difference for me is the effect that shrooms have on my body compared to clean acid. Nothing beats clean, strong acid. At all. Ever.

Yeah, i've noticed this as well. With only one of my friends though.
He'll be saying and acting quite a bit differently than he usually does, and then deny that he's really tripping. This on acid by the way, I don't think mushrooms are as easy to deny personally.
