Got Beer?

About 4 weeks ago too late I got pissed off at the beer prices on the market.
Seeing as how I enjoy the finer Brews that are available,I started seeing a change in my paycheck. I.E: broke alcoholic.
So I decided to invest my drinking money into making the beer that I wanted. After 3 1/2 weeks of fermentation and chilling I now have 4 large buckets of beer and they are EXCELLENT!!.
Its Thursday and I am taking a long weekend to taste test.I will never buy beer from the store again!

I distill my own alcohol but I mostly use it for my organic chem experiments. Its 200 proof and 100% alcohol so its really to strong to drink.

There are cheaper prices out there I bought the whole kit and then some and used plastic buckets to ferment.

Ya know you have a good point I know more than enough people to get it off the ground. My alcohol percent was 7 and very palatable

I bought the kit to see if I could do it and right now I am researching what it would entail to actually do a beer straight from malt cereal and fruit etc. www.mrbeer.com was where the kit came from

my dad always plants a huge garden, and I promise this will be the best thing you can ever do for yourself.
for a about $75 you can buy enough seeds, bulbs, and starter plants (like tomatoes, pepper plants, strawberries, herbs, and flowers) to grow a really nice and beautiful garden.
The food you get from your garden will taste better than anything from the store.
Grow more than you can eat fresh and learn the art of canning. Canning your own food means no nasty preservatives and you know the food being used is fresh. Seriously, my mom cans tomatoes and they make the BEST spaghetti/marinara type sauces. she also cans green beans with new potatoes, GOD that's so good. My dad also makes this awesome salsa using all the ingredients from his garden. Tomatoes, jalapenos, onions, bell peppers, garlic, and cilantro. It's not chunky, like pace picante cuz he uses a blender, but it's still a very nice consistency and tastes so good. My mom cans the salsa, but there's really no use since we used to eat it faster than she could can it. Then there's homemade pickles using fresh dill and cucumbers. OH and don't forget pickled beets. I know, it sounds nasty, but they're actually REALLY sweet and taste so good. Nothing beats a salad from the garden, with fresh spinach, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, red onions, herbs, cucumbers, and tomatoes.
I swear, once you taste home-canned vegetables, you'll NEVER touch a can of green giant again, if you can help it. Plus, it'll give you a valid reason to have the pressure cooker and mason jars laying around LOL
But the BEST was still my mom's homemade strawberry jelly. GOD that stuff was like heaven. My dad used to have two large gardens, but since my sister and I are grown, he cut down to basic staples and no longer grows strawberries. My mom has used her same strawberry jelly recipe with strawberries she got from the store, and even though it was better than anything on the shelf, it still wasn't as good as the ones that my dad grew... I believe it's because they have well water and the nutrients from ground water were better for the plants then spraying them with tap water.
