If you're a member of this site, you'll more than likely never make it through a full term at that nazi camp

dude don't join the army its a waste of time, we shouldn't even be there in the first place. I know they try to make it sound glamorous in the commercials about serving your country, but the truth is if you join the army your country doesn't give a shit about your life and whether or not you lose it, and you're basically a hired killer.

Although you have these pros and cons switched around i have heard these stories before and they sound quite enticing

well just reading your original post i would say if you do join you are doing it for the wrong reasons. many people see the army as a love/hate relationship. think long and hard before you sign a contract. army contracts are 8 years long. usually 4 active and 4 inactive, but the 4 inactive you can be called back in an emergency situation. if you do decide to contract think long and hard about the job or mos of your choice. dont let a big bonus influence what you choose, after taxes they dont amount to much anyway. every person is different and must choose their own path. its your life, dont let them make you do anything you dont want to, but if or when you sign...your ass is theirs

nothing to do nowhere to go? army or nothing?
not sure i understand, you should always be able to find a job somewhere. if you don't agree with a country the last thing you do is fight for it...if you wanna join an army move to iran.

That's lame... If you were still in HighSchool you could get free money from them without actually JOINING the Army. Well, two of my good friends joined the Army and both of them really regret ever doing it but that doesn't apply to everyone. Some people love it. It all depends on the person really. Me, i'd never join any military.

Cons:
Someone will be telling you when to wake up, when to eat, when to sleep, etc.
Must cut your hair
Possible injuries, mental anguish, death, etc.
Must sign a contract
May have to live with a douche or multiple douches
Bootcamp
The other branches don't seem to respect the army
Pros:
Education, travel, job

The thesis that I want to advance today is that the drug war and the laws that prohibit the private consumption of certain drugs are unconstitutional. Prohibition laws, themselves, violate every tenet of limited government that is embodied in our Constitution.

there's some really crazy people in the army to, there was a thread someone in otd posting about cats being thrown off cliffs and cows being blown up with bombs ect ect
your going to be asked to kill people, you won't know why. sure they might shoot at you...but you are the one on their land. there are bad people out there but you can't pretend to know who they all are
serving outside our country is stupid 99% of the time
if you wanna do something productive join the police academy.

If you are hell bent on joining something, join the Air Force. Not the Army.
