I know poker isn't a sport, I had to fill in the blanks and I figured watching poker is pretty much like watching sports.

This survey is pretty flawed. I should have just made it yes/no. Since people can choose multiple sports there is no way to tell how many individuals have actually voted. I suck!

Yeah there are way to many to list them all.

I watch soccer whenever I can (not too often in the States), basketball of the college variety, and baseball if the Brewers are playing.

I often wonder about the psychology behind spectator sporting. (Some) people vest themselves so deeply in their teams that their emotions can actually be predetermined by their team's performance the previous night. It's strange, but a lot of things we do are even stranger.

From my perspective, this is one of the most bizarre yet widespread behaviors in humans. Sometimes I get scared that my dad will have a heart attack when his favorite football team is losing. Surely he sees that it couldn't matter less??

football and all other sports are entertainment. getting mad or excited over a game is the same as letting a sad or funny movie play with your emotions. also, they are good for humans for the fact that its competition and competition is human nature. thirdly, what other event besides a music festival can bring together 80,000 + people, and allow for you to identify you with those people. you have one common bond you love football!

I'm not a big sports fan but I prefer heavy contact sports whenever I actually watch. The more violent, the more I enjoy it.
