Searching; blinded by the truth..

If you were to lose a screw in a drive way, which has only lots and lots of small stones as ground.. Then, if you like to find the lost screw; do not look for the screw.. ..look for small stones, and the screw will abstract...
If one look for the screw, one will be in risk of only seeing small stones..
This is something my utterly amazing dad thought me... (I owe him all my life.)
And just now, I am realizing how this simple notion, applies to all of every day living!
What say you?
[And to any MOD's; please do not move this? The philosophical, and/or spiritual value will soon show, if it is not already apparent. Please let at least 5 people answer, before you consider to move it?]

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day. -- `Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood.' -- Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.

I was thinking specifically about finding screws in driveways. The possibilities are endless.

You've got to be pretty suave to find a good screw without leaving your driveway.

It's easier if you have a lot of loose screws.

Just don't screw anything outside.
