San Jose police say officers responding to a report of a shooting didn't find a shooting victim, but instead discovered a massive marijuana-growing operation.
Police say after officers arrived at a home in central San Jose Saturday morning, they forced their way in because they thought there was a shooting victim inside.
Officers didn't find anyone inside the home, but they did find about 500 marijuana plants.
After discovering the operation, police obtained a search warrant to seize the marijuana plants.
It's estimated the street value of the plants would have been around $1 million.
No arrests have been made, and the case remains under investigation.

O really, shooting victim. Who needs warrants these days when you can say whatever you like :/
-------------------- He did not laugh as his eyes stopped in awareness of the earth around him. His face was like a law of nature-a thing one could not question, alter or implore. It had high cheekbones over gaunt, hollow cheeks; gray eyes, cold and steady; a contemptuous mouth, shut tight, the mouth of an executioner or a saint.
If you wake up at a different time in a different place, can you wake up a different person?

Yes that is the way it works. As long as they had a legit reason to be there (false shooting report), they are allowed to bust you without a warrant.

Well more realistically, one cop went in and shot the guy, then called for backup.

What a joke, burglarize the place first, find drugs, then get a search warrant.
That's not how our constitution works.......

The thesis that I want to advance today is that the drug war and the laws that prohibit the private consumption of certain drugs are unconstitutional. Prohibition laws, themselves, violate every tenet of limited government that is embodied in our Constitution.
