Fethiye, Turkey. Right along the Mediterranean sea, There's bungalows near the beach, and a great inexpensive restaurant that that serves the most delicious hand raised lamb, and there's always at least one belly dancer about, topless beaches, Roman Ruins. What more could someone ask for am I right?

WTF are you talking about? I lived in Turkey for 4 years. I'm a blonde American Christian type, and I enjoyed every person I came into contact with. When was the last time YOU were there? http://www.ataturk.com/content/view/33/70/

i live in southern california and it's a real drag down here for the most part, at least in my opinion. it's all about external beauty, status, etc... the cost of living is ridiculous, it's overcrowded and to top it off it's a scorching hot, dry desert. smog is everywhere... traffic everywhere you go. it rests on the san andreas fault line, the "big one" is imminent and inevitable. as you pass by people on the street they'd sooner look down at the sidewalk than smile and wave and say hello...
it seems to be a paradise for the sort of men that have come to be called the "bro"... driving around like ass holes in their raised monster truck ford f-450s or whatever they are... negative vibes abound...
cops will get you for most anything. i was pulled over for drinking a soda while driving on a saturday night... the cop says, "you know why i pulled you over?" i say, "hmm.. no, maybe i rolled through that stop sign a bit back there?" cop says, "no, i pulled you over because i thought you were drinking a beer, i just had to make sure" i say, "ohh.. no... you see, it's just a soda." cop says, "ok, your tail light is out too, you know i could give you a ticket for that.... but i'm going to let you go."
another time i tried to wander out to the beach at night with some friends and a search light beams down on us from a police helicopter and stays on us until we started to walk away...
anyways.. you get the idea.. some people love it down here though, i suppose it has it's moments but for me they are few and far between.. i've been keeping an eye on threads like these because i'm thinking of heading off to a new town myself...
good luck to ya..

I really like Australia, too. Nice people, lots of beaches, and we speak English (of sorts!)
Not too many inbred sandgropers, and the shelias are hot.

The author of Midnight Express admitted to "Randomly selecting" a Middle Eastern country for the story to take place. It is a gross misrepresentation of Turkey.
As for your Jewish name: Turkey, a country smaller then the state of Texas, has 65,000 Armenian Orthodox Christians, 23,000 Jews, and 4,000 Greek Orthodox Christians. And has enjoyed freedom of religion for decades, And they have rejected Muslim Fundamentalism.
Believe it or not all muslim countries are not alike!
But, I do admit, if you were Kurdish, I'd say stay the hell away from that place if you like your life.
But anyhow, do a google image search and check out Fethiye Turkey. I don't think it's likely anyone who reads this will actually GO there. But if I could live anywhere, that's where it would be...

nope vary wrong... I was born Muslim and where I'm from everyone is. You cant judge the crazy Muslim nations though, there just protecting themselves. Bosnia was attacked to eliminate all the Muslims. It was a genocide we were outnumbered. The thing is though, this has been going on for years. Christians were the terrorists spreading there violence for the sake of a fucking Zombie!!! That was also the source for the Norwegian burning of the churches by Varg Vikernes. Christians attacked pagan churches first. I'm not trying to say that any of this is good rather then just presenting a different way to look at it.

Portland.
Burnside skate park is world famous. As is Timberline resort on Mt. Hood. Raves are dominated by DNB.
