Help me figure out what happened to me?
    #8395914 - 05/13/08 09:37 AM (4 months, 27 days ago)

Last night I was having a semi-lucid dream, jumping everywhere and just floating, I did this the whole dream and I remember knowing that I was dreaming but I still had no control of the environment that I was in. After the dream was over I woke up to my alarm. I hit sleep and closed my eyes.

Very soon after I did this I got the feeling you get when you are like sitting in one place for a long time and you are falling through the couch or whatever you are sitting on. But this feeling was about 1000 times stronger and it was like I was falling/floating into some sort of dimension. It startled me, so I immediately open my eyes to ground my self to reality.

I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this before? And if you have any idea what it is?

Do you think it had to do with the intensity of the semi-lucid dream I had?

probably so, maybe there were traces of dmt still floating around your brain. I think youre describing absorption, i get this when i trip. I always describe it as being a rock for minute, you become whatever youre in contact with and it literally feels like you are an inanimate object.

Yup, sounds like some good ol' intense lucid dreaming.

Although you weren't fully lucid, that is only because you didn't take the opportunity to make it so, but it sounds like that's what it was.

That sounds what it could be, it was just so intense it scared the crap out of me, I think that combined with the lucid dream just made it even stranger, hopefully I can experience this again so next time I can recognize it and follow through.

Eh, you were just probably sensing inner mechanisms of your body that mostly calculate the effects of gravity in relation to your physical being. Being in such a relaxed state, and having that recent excitation of your awareness in the half lucid dream, it's possible that you're body was just sort of startled mildly at the prospect of flying. . .the mind is powerful.
