These shiitake kits are ready to go. They are browned and all you need to do it do a 4 hour cold water soak and you'll see mushrooms in around a week.
The outdoor spawn is colonized and ready to spawn outdoors, mix with some wet hardwood chips and you'll get some fruits pretty quick and year after year if you keep adding hardwood chips.

When you say cold water soak is it like dunk for 12-24 hours? and cold mean inside my fridge?

4-12 hours of with cold water. Ice cubes work don't need it to be in the fridge.

Nice flush! That must be a cold loving strain you have there. If I use ice water with my 2 strains, they don't fruit. Cold tap water works well though.

You don't want it to be ice cold.. if you have cool water it works, but not warm.. approx 50-60F water.
