A southern california psilocybe

I found to day at my pan subb patch a cluster of what i thought to be subbalteatus at first but upon picking them I noticed several distinct and major differences. These mushrooms i picked have a purple spore print (took em back) and have a veil remnant that is blue on all of them. When I bruised the flesh of the stems I noticed bluing occuring. Less blue than the veil remnants but still blue. Green and blue staining is also occuring on the caps. Sadly, a lot of the caps are filled with maggots so i plan on going back to find more specimens.
I usually have my camera with me at all times but my camera died the moment i tried taking a picture sadly. I will post the pictures of them tomorrow.
Habitat: Woodchip planter bed cap: yellowish, tan, bruising green and blue. Gills: looks yellowish/brown Stem: white, silvery, bruising blue, thin snappy stem w/ a veil remnant Spore Print: purple/brown Mycelia: Highly rhizomorphic
I believe these to be the friscosas that show from the bay area but I need to get a finished spore print and pictures up for you guys. They will be up tomorrow!

That would be way out of season and out of place for Friscosas.... Maybe it's Ps. subaeruginascens, the "Spring Psilocybe" we have here in the Bay?

Found in southern ventura county.
I will take the photos. They definitely look a little off on the gill color i expect from cyanescens and they have more bell shaped instead of wavy caps. More yellowish too. Definite bluing though. I dont have a doubt in my mind.
It might be the spring psilocybe. I expected more prominet mass bluing. This bruises blue all over but it only bruise to a certain degree. never really that blue. Oh.. except for the veil remnants. They are definitely a deep blue.

I take back what I said earlier. These are bluing like crazy now in the middle of the stems. I have no doubt they are a psilocybe. Im drying them as we speak. I believe there will be a lot more of these in the future to find.

I was thinking Ps. stuntzii, yet he described the stipe as a light colour (as opposed to a brown stipe in stuntzii), and bluing in places not normally seen on stuntzii. These sound more potent. Like Blue Ringers, Ps. ovoideocystidiata and Ps. subaeruginascens both reside in Section Stuntzae, and all three species are characterized by a blue annulus- usually more prominently blue than the other areas, and often the only part that is blue when observed before picking.
Are the gills wavy?

Ill post the pictures within hours. my camera is charged and Im getting in the car to go back to my friends where I left em.
Im not sure on the species but subaeruginascens might be correct. most caps are more flat and rounded but there are one or two which have more conical caps. Also, the stems from mine are a lot thinner than the ones on your links curecat.

I hope you can see the spore print. The more I think about it, the more I think I found subaeruginascens

It is easy to separate subaeruginascens from the cyan complex by the shape of the spores.
And that would make sense in socal since they like warm weather
Any sign of an annulus in the middle of the stem?

Yeah, in his first photo of the stipes you can see the two on the left side clearly have blue veil remnants.
