the lighter colored stalks turn to about the same color as the cap...definitely no veil..by looking at the ones with wetter tiny caps, that seem to hug the stem for quite a while in the growing process.

ok well while im waiting on prints here are some others i found same habitat...by the way these piles of mulch substance was very deep and in a runoff area of a new shopping center...about 1-2 inches past the surface was soaking wet, which would explain the massive abundace of growth and dry caps (lack of humidity) wouldnt it?

Horseranch would be a good place to find subbs. Wait a few weeks for weilii season part I. If we continue to have these occasional cool days and periodic rains, we might get a good june/july flush like we did last year, which was amazing given the drought. They seem to take a break when it gets really hot and dry in august, then pop back up again in October. I found them as late as the last week in November last year.
None of your mushrooms are active, except perhaps number 3 which as Cactu said, appears to be a Gymnopilus. Was there any bluing/greening on those? There are lots of inactive Gyms, and it's more likely that they are indeed inactive. Interesting find otherwise.
