i know that its not a preferred substrate but i think this first flush is doing well. Let me know what you think, I will be casing next time

Looks good so far but those fruits might get too heavy and fall off of those cakes.
I believe that is the problem with PE and cakes.

Awesome and unique to see them on cakes, but yeah, them getting heavy and falling off may be a problem. If they do sag down and appear to have broken, don't pull them right away, as only a small attachment point is needed for them to keep developing. You can also arrange some type of braces to keep them from sagging, a lot of trouble I know, good job.

Very nice, I cant wait to get some PE going.
I didnt want to do them on cakes but I am willing to give it a shot as long as yours work out well.

i did the old pf tek nothing special although i used 1 pint jars instead of 1/2 pint, they took about 4 weeks to colonize, i used 2 10cc syringes for 6 jars from the good IL hawks eye, i also did a set of the pf special but they all grew the green and had to throw them out  I tell you what after spending some time on this forum i am excited about casing never done it before but i will be doing in the near future my first specimen that i picked from another cake not pictured came out at 2 grams dry and i think i picked premature.

nice cakes! PE can do well on cakes for sure. I think the reason a lot of folks don't do as well with them on cakes is due to how delayed they are in developing pins. by the time they finally do pin, the cake has lost a good amount of water from evaporation which can reduce end yields. were those cakes dunked prior to this flush? your cakes look nice and healthy, I'm just curious as to the process you undertook. usually what PE's don't have in numbers they make up for with density and weight.
