 Dating someone against drug use.

Is it even remotely possible? Any ideas on how to make it work, good arguments or compromises? Or should I just pass? It's a person that I get along with splendidly, and have known for a long time though and I'm going to have to talk to her about it.

what drugs do you do? i could date a chick that drinks and smokes weed and cigs, or does the occasional mushrooms or whatever. i would never date a chick that uses anything hard like coke or pills or something like that.

Smoke pot and trip once in a while really. And I'm not a huge stoner either, although I've smoked my fair share. Basically, it's not that big of an issue, and I wouldn't even have to do it around her.

Kinda going through the same thing myself. I'm not supposed to be doing any drugs right now cause I got arrested for some shit and after my court date I'll be on probation for a while, but I slip up and do some here and there. This girl I been dating doesn't do any drugs she isn't against them, but doesn't like me doing them either. So its a weird situation. I was just going to drop her cause I don't want her flipping out on me when I do drugs in the future when I'm not in any trouble. I think she kinda has the impression that I've quit doing drugs for good, but I'm just waiting until I'm done with all this legal trouble. I kinda have the mentality that well I guess she is good for me for the time being. I guess just see how it works out. If it works it works if not oh well

I used to date someone who was very anti-drug so I had to hide smoking and I didn't trip the entire time we were together. Anyway, its just not worth it. It is best to just be honest from the beginning. Now when I get involved with someone, I let them know what they are getting themselves into. I've realized I have to be who I am and do what I like to do, and not change myself for anyone. Because in the long run it doesn't work out if you aren't honest from the start.

My wife does not use any drugs. But I was on mushrooms when I met her (15 years ago). She has always known everything I do and accepts it fully. I couldn't be with anyone who doesn't approve of me. And trippin is definately a part of me!

Check this out, my girlfriend wasn't down with drugs when I first met her, because she had been raised against them. After spending time with me, and presenting her with a lot of insight and well known facts about psychedelics, she's down now. She'll smoke herb, and she's open to psychedelics.
It helps to have information about psychedelics from such badasses as Terence McKenna (RIP), Albert Hoffman (RIP), Dale Pendell, etc.. because they have such beautiful minds that have been touched by these substances, and are very intelligent people.
I mean, if you know it isn't going to work, then don't do it, because hiding a drug habbit will lead to serious problems. But in my case, she just hadn't had the chance to open up to the WONDERFUL, VIBRANT, COSMIC realms of certain sacraments. I win!

I dunno...
I went out with a guy for 4 years. At first he was against all drugs, I even stopped drinking and smoking weed for 6 months. Wasn't into psychedelics yet. And then for my birthday he asked what I wanted and I said an eighth, Ren and Stimpy cartoons, and a blanket. And lo and behold, suprisingly he got all of it! And then it was just a journey into mushrooms, LSD, and MDMA in the years to follow.
People change, you never know.
