Fox News - Fair + Balanced

I happened to be viewing Fox News last night (they had Doug Benson on this show). Anyways during one of the breaks they showed this interlude and they must have said the phrase "fair+balanced" 4 times per commercial and they showed the commercial at least 6 times in a row. I guess they must figure if they say it enough it must be true.
I nearly died when the showed O'Reilly saying, "we take no sides." Ugh. Hilarious nonetheless but the fact some people actually believe this shit makes me sick.
But yea Doug Benson was funny.

IDK, I go to my pops house to do laundry and all there is to do is watch Fox News with him while we catch up.
IMO, O'Reilly isn't that bad, it's Sean Hannity that bugs the shit out of me.

Fox is the most biased right wing network in America I think they finally caught on after all the criticism of their conservative, "one sided coin" views. Maybe their rating were going down because of this? Sometimes I used to think they were being paid secretly by the Bush Administration to control the minds of America...but that's just a conspiracy theory I pulled outta my ass.

Bill O'Reilly is a big fat prick that "spins" more than his guests do, most of the time.

An ex-director of the CIA said in the 1980s I think, that the CIA has basically controlled all the news for decades... Heres a quote about "Operation Mockingbird" from Prisonplanet... take it however you want.
"Starting in the early days of the Cold War (late 40's), the CIA began a secret project called Operation Mockingbird, with the intent of buying influence behind the scenes at major media outlets and putting reporters on the CIA payroll, which has proven to be a stunning ongoing success. The CIA effort to recruit American news organizations and journalists to become spies and disseminators of propaganda, was headed up by Frank Wisner, Allen Dulles, Richard Helms, and Philip Graham (publisher of The Washington Post). Wisner had taken Graham under his wing to direct the program code-named Operation Mockingbird and both have presumably committed suicide.
Media assets will eventually include ABC, NBC, CBS, Time, Newsweek, Associated Press, United Press International (UPI), Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps-Howard, Copley News Service, etc. and 400 journalists, who have secretly carried out assignments according to documents on file at CIA headquarters, from intelligence-gathering to serving as go-betweens. The CIA had infiltrated the nation's businesses, media, and universities with tens of thousands of on-call operatives by the 1950's. CIA Director Dulles had staffed the CIA almost exclusively with Ivy League graduates, especially from Yale with figures like George Herbert Walker Bush from the "Skull and Crossbones" Society.
Many Americans still insist or persist in believing that we have a free press, while getting most of their news from state-controlled television, under the misconception that reporters are meant to serve the public. Reporters are paid employees and serve the media owners, who usually cower when challenged by advertisers or major government figures. Robert Parry reported the first breaking stories about Iran-Contra for Associated Press that were largely ignored by the press and congress, then moving to Newsweek he witnessed a retraction of a true story for political reasons. In 'Fooling America: A Talk by Robert Parry' he said, "The people who succeeded and did well were those who didn't stand up, who didn't write the big stories, who looked the other way when history was happening in front of them, and went along either consciously or just by cowardice with the deception of the American people."

If the CIA controls the media, how are there articles about the CIA controlling the media?

the guy who owns fox, forget his name, but he also owns hundreds of other tv networks and tons of shit, and theres a documentary with ex-fox producers that admitted that they were told to put pure right wing propaganda on the air, i'll try to find it. but sometimes I think theres a connection between the government and fox too.

O'Reilly got his big start on Hard copy, before that he was a High School teacher. That goes to show what he is and where he came from...
I admit sometimes I lean right from my attitude towards a lot of shit but most on Fox are average wannabes if that and like Hannity or Geraldo or whoever on most Stations ...they all got there start from the radio or some TV show and now play it as badass right wing stock invester blue bloods that are better than you...
Big Fucking Deal lets talk about CBS or the New your times,...right or left there all fucking biased thats why im independent.
Edit...Fox owns MySpace and a lot of other internet sites and Papers and stations I cant even think of right now, its true.
