 Datura stramonium Flowers.

The other day me and a few friends made a tea out of two Datura stramonium flowers each. We all tripped really hard and I enjoyed the experience. After doing a bit of researched I realized it's pretty dangerous. Could I have died? Is there anyway to use this drug safely?

Mind posting a more detailed account of your trip?
I haven't really researched this plant so I can't give you any advice personally, sorry!

Safely? When you're dealing with anticholinergics, it is very easy to overdose and cause death, insanity, and even brain damage. Start with a low, low dose and work your way up if you're determined to work with this entheogen. That being said, I'm personally fascinated with Datura, as it really sheds some light on the commonalities between dreams, psychosis, and schizophrenia--and the lucid dreaming that low doses bring can be quite fantastic. Very few people enjoy the experience, though... care to elaborate on what the trip was like?

Yes, you could have died. You don't know the potency of the plant you're consuming and it is very easy to overdose on. A friend of mine had to go to the hospital and was fucked up for days.

dude dont fuck wit datura. it should not even be called a trip. unless you have a sober sitter with you, you can not tell what is real and what is not. You could talk for hours to people who arent their. it really sucks.

yall are not missing anything. plus unless you do thorough reuputable searching it could kill you. Go to erowid and look at erowid. Their are so many bad trip reports compared to good ones.

lots of people have been on this board for advice on datura, use the search function.
basically there are a few weirdos who enjoy playing with the plant but most people end up in the hospital or worse. it's not a high, its poisoning.
only "trained" people should consciously take datura, because from the cases i've heard it's really easy to fuck yourself up.
i'm not condoning it, it sounds fascinating but i'm definitely not ready for that plant.

ive seen a brugmansia plant in front of a house and every time i go past im tempted to go up to the door and ask them if i can take a cutting
it has pretty downward hanging orange flowers
why has noone made a pure extract form and then made a standardized tincture or something to account for the variation between plants... i just searched it up nd there were only a couple threads.... the second post in them invariably being "youre stupid for considering taking datura"
