What happens is what you will. So far, you've willed 13 billion years of cosmic history, in which, in your power, you have broken yourself into billions and billions of different objects, animals, insects, and people, to create a wonderful garden on the planet Earth. At least. Unfortunately, on this planet you have created, there is a species that has emerged called 'Humans' who, representing a new kind of power, have locked themselves within the power of their own minds, and turned their own abilities against themselves. They are now destroying the garden you created, because, it would seem, they were not quite ready to face their own cognitive power, however this can change at any moment. If it doesn't, it will all begin again, somewhere else, and it will perhaps succeed this time, and new beings will come to manifest the power of God.
In the meantime, there is nothing but God, and you're It. You have been conditioned to believe that you are not It. However, you can search, and eventually find yourself again within the organism you currently inhabit, and you can undo what the society has done to you. YOUR WILL IS LIMITED ONLY BY YOUR ORGANISM, AND YOUR ORGANISMS LIMITS ARE AS YET UNKNOWN. Whatever happens you will live forever, and you will be whatever you will yourself to be.
Imagine what can be done... if you free your will from the fetters of selfish desire and your instincts, and explore the potential of the organism you're coming on as. Human minds may be more powerful than we think... we may be only steps away from a magnificent realisation of our power.
Point is, YOU'RE IT, it's in YOUR MIND, EVERYTHING IS YOUR ILLUSION, IF YOU THINK YOU ARE TRAPPED IT IS BECAUSE YOU TRAPPED YOURSELF, JUST FREE YOURSELF AGAIN. Over time you can become a divine being... just takes your Will.
Good luck, have fun. I'm going to eat a hearty meal and then shit everywhere and throw it at passer-bys.

I'm not gonna claim to know everything and I even apologize for speaking in a frightening way...using darkness to bring ppl to the light is completely redundent(sp?) but hard to resist when ppl you care about are missing the mark
I re-read some of that yoga book which was posted and I do agree with much of what is being said in it...but what I don't agree with is the focus on yoga as if to make an idol of it
what makes the word of god different is that it is perfect...the perfect influence at the perfect time and directly inspired by god so that it is active at all times in history when filled with the spirit...it speaks to you and analyzes you faster then you can analyze it...which reminds me of the mona lisa(I get the feeling as if shes figured me out as I'm trying to figure her out which seems to create this feeling of transcendance through time) and connection with another human which lived so long ago
but I'm way off topic...I don't believe its healthy to think of yourself as god regardless of where we're going...in that prideful thinking you fall right back into the traps of human thinking
acceptance of our imperfections and humbling ourselves before our creator(and other ppl) allows our creator to work through us and forgive us and for us to acknowledge our flaws so that we can try and change them...if you think of yourself as god you are lying to yourself after all cause you know deep down that you are filled with various weaknesses that keep you from doing what you know is right

I think there is some value in exploring such concepts, rather than dictating an absolute, and calling everything else unholy. Seems to me, the average church goer has as much chance as anyone else of finding what they're really looking for; something more than an empty belief or a mask of belief. Of course, swallowing the sinner frame, isn't exclusive to Christians.
And, why not use the word "arrogant" instead of pride? Society has destroyed a perfectly good word, by equating it with arrogance. It's now a sin to be proud? Might be a matter of linguistics, but it just might put a damper on the subconscious minds ability to know and exercise the difference.
Can one be proud and humble at the same time?

The Mona Lisa was painted during the Italian Renaissance, looks to me like she's on to a good story. (All roads lead to Rome?? Yikes.)

When someone tells me they know some truth, they are usually trying to share some comprehensible experiential truth, or they're trying to convince -themselves- of something that is beyond their abilities. Or, they're trying to pull the wool over my eyes.
To me, all that is acceptable as true, is love, God IS love, and striving to be a better lover is my only objective. Keeps things simple. The devil is in the details. But it took some free thought to get there. I'd rather have some clay, than a brick. I respect other peoples right to have bricks, as long as they don't use them to make me see their light. I love 'em, but I don't trust 'em.
