err I think it was you at least, musta been about 04'
you reccomended the band In Flames to me. since then they have become one of my favorites!
The concert I attended in 06' was one of the highlights of my life!! ..sooo spiritual, and the fuckin power, mm.. groovy.
whether you like metal or not you may still dig them( try reading the lyrics )
from asral psychedelic glory to arithmatical patterns of power and awakening they truly are the pinnacle of metal IMO
I especially reccomend the early stuff Lunar Strain Subterranean The Jester Race and especially Whoracle
dont get me wrong every thing in the past 10 years or so has rocked. but it seems more poetic and personal than epic and mystical.
I posted this publicly because they are a spiritual band, and I would love it if some of you dudes checked um out!
peace and shroomyness

off the album Whoracle
Worlds Within The Margin
[Ljungström, Strömblad]
Raindrop hits the leaf changing it's position slightly on the street next to polls of monotonous waters He walks Slipping feet from steps at random He falls
In the space of between his body and the ground comets cast off their names stellar neurones misfire
Witnesses inhale the seed and spit out a million branches
Buds abloom in all directions frin which events occur relations and virused meetings catch fire and explode In the margin of butterfly wings entire cycles of evolution outplayed and faded sparked away and leaned back into vacuum-filled nirvana
Between the two of my eyes feverish fractal scar Dance like were they on drugs peyote labyrinth re-mapped exits A hasty blink and a million life-to-comes will never be the same as they never were
In the kinetic energy of a moving fist lies a birth-machine for a parallel universe
With the first movement in organic scap came a bouquet of alternative answers all different multiplied and re-divided
Coded in the spinal cord of a trilobite written between the legs on the Meganeura suburban city maps and dormant dictator semen marked their way through time
Fuck i wanna post more but me restrains myself

This party is old and uninviting
Participants all in black and white
You enter in fullblown technicolor
Nothing is the same after tonight

Borknagar - 1 02 Traveller.mp3 (10,194,529 bytes) 10 downloads [Copyrighted?]
Worlds Within the Margins is my favorite song by them.
I'm glad you dig 'em! I've seen them twice in concert and it definitely is a great experience. In fact, I think I have a thread in this forum, searching "In Flames concert" might bring it up. The band's guitar-work is definitely inspirational; they have an excellent sense of harmony. The musikk is very dynamic, full of texture.
If you like In Flames, I bet you'd love Borknagar. Perhaps in four years we'll find a new thread from you thanking me for suggesting them!
Here's the lyrics and upload for Traveller:
Quote:
Borknagar - Traveller
Existential matters ignite in circulation. A motion to bend, towards the swift end. Encompassing a visionary plead to defend.
Liberation of the five senses, the ego phrase. Metamorphosis of perceptual principles. Platonic illumination of Natures' quincunx. Which hemisphere is mine to hold?
Traveller of the x-scape, through endomorphism of time. Hybrid existence - through spirituality endures the reality. Traveller of the x-scape, through the gravisphere of wisdom. Hyper potency - the predominant endurance through infinity.
The iridescence of the solar glimpse. Through the eyes of Himm and Hippo. Just another sole strike of the sun. A stone in the hand or the thought of it?
Traveller of the x-scape, through endomorphism of time. Hybrid existence - through spirituality endures the reality. Traveller of the x-scape, through the gravisphere of wisdom. Hyper potency - the predominant endurance through infinity.
Thoughts of a thinker. Infinity of numbers. Numbered thoughts. Thoughts of infinity.
"Numbers are the essence of all things and the metaphysical principle of rational order in the universe" (Pythagoras).
Liberation of the five senses, the ego phrase. Everlasting metamorphosis of perceptual principles.
--------------------

Meet me in outer space
We could spend the night;
watch the earth come up
I've grown tired of that place;
won't you come with me?
We could start again.

This thread was moved from Philosophy & Spirituality.
Reason: Please keep this kind of thing in PM. The only person who needs to read this is the person being thanked, not the whole forum.
Thanks for understanding.

yah their a good band, but that abortion which is "come clarity" yikes negated alot of their prestige

Dr Watson told The Sunday Times that he was "inherently gloomy about the prospect of Africa" because "all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours – whereas all the testing says not really". He said there was a natural desire that all human beings should be equal but "people who have to deal with black employees find this not true".
