Discussing with someone's unconscious mind

Hello, So my girlfriend sometimes talks in her sleep, a phenomena called somniloquy. It was kind of strange and surprising at first, and it got stranger when I realized I could have a discussion with her!
But the problem is that I have no idea what kind of interesting information I can obtain from this discussion, I always end up asking stupid questions like "what's your/my name?" or "what's your favorite color?"...
What should I do with this cool possibility?

Test her subconscious! Tell her something she doesn't know while she's sleep talking, then ask her about it the next day.

I find it kind of fucked up that you want to get "interesting information" in such a manner.

huh? why would that be fucked up? do you think its better that I not play with this? and anyways I tell her everything she said in the morning, all that i can remember at least...
i know pretty much everything about her conscious mind, wouldn't you be interested in finding out "information" about the submerged part of your gf? like stuff she doesn't even know about!
i think this is really cool, but i just don't know how to manage a subconscious mind! lol
One thing i learned I think, is to never make any references to time, it kind of puts her out of it.
Cameron, I doubt that that would work because from what I know, accessing one's unconscious mind on one's own is merely impossible, unless you know how to hypnotize yourself...

Maybe because you forgot to mention that she knows about this?
Also, you can't be sure that all the information that's being revealed to you is accurate. Sometimes even our conscious side becomes pretty blurry and erroneous, so I can only think that this is happening even more when it comes to the subconscious. For instance, what you might understand as her memories can be mere repressed desires or even fears, and this can produce quite a shock when you'll let her know what you found out. Taking a simple projection as an actual fact can have some quite dramatic effects on her mind, are you willing to take that risk? I think it's amazing that we as humans have the means to explore many and different sides of our minds, but I think that first we must have a slight idea about what we're dealing with, and never take this kind of decision for someone else.

This report talks about external stimuli and its effect on dream content. Really fascinating stuff. Is she in REM sleep while she's sleep talking? If so, you should be careful what you say. The connection between external stimuli and dream content is surprisingly strong.

A helmet developed by Dr. Persinger that stimulates the temporal lobes with electromagnetic fields. It produces the felt presence common in mystical type experience, I've heard.

Dreams are not your unconscious, subconscious, or hold any deep meaning. Dreams are a manifistation of your minds housekeeping duties. Leave her dreams alone unless she is having a bad dream, then you awaken and comfort her.

hmmm, I don't know, maybe, but I have to admit that when I discuss with her in her sleep I feel like there's this whole new, almost infinite dimension through wich I can access by this little tiny door.
This most probably corresponds to my projection of the signification of dreams, but I can't help to think there's something mystical behind it. Have you heard of the Nooshpere?
Anyways, thanks for the replies all, but I still have no idea what to talk about next time I meet the submerged part of her consciousness, or whatever you wanta call it!
