 amp blowing fuses like crazy

I got a 300w max amp today for my jvc 6x9's. I hooked it up and it slammed like crazy for a good hour or so. Then all of a sudden it just stops. The inline fuse blew. No big deal right? Wrong. The muthaf-er blows every fuse i put in it. I figure it was a bad ground so i put the ground wire somewhere else. It stoped blowing the fuses on the inline but the amp wont power on.The amp dosent have any fuses on it unless their inside of it which i cant and am not getting to. My cars a 90 cavalier, the amp is an american bass,the power wire is a stupid one from walmart. can anyone help me?
