Just because I have trash laying around doesn't mean that it is "up 4 grabs" by any jerk that comes along. I also think most people would disagree with your claim that a corpse is trash. At the very least there is a property rights issue for the estate. If the estate didn't give you permission, you have no buisness screwing with the body.
The will of the former occupant of the body is a whole nother ball of wax, and it can be debated you have no moral right to controll your body after you die, but we need not reach that.
The argument is similar to what the cops use to steal trash and stuff, claiming it was discarded and whatnot. I think this is nonsense. When you deposit an item for a specific purpose, no one has a right to interfere w/ that purpose, even if its not a direct benifet to you, so the cops have no right to take your trash you've entrusted to the sanitation guys, and weird ass's have no right to screw w/ my father's corpse I've entrusted to the cemetary, andwhose estate I administer, lest I give either permission.
You're conflating you're logical interest in your body with the legitimate intrest of the current owners. Whether or not someone's actions make a lick of sense, you have no right to interfere.

Ok, if you guys actually read the story you'll see that it's most likely bullshit.
What it amounts to is that some dumbass told a cop that he and his buddies dug up a corpse, chopped off the head, and used it to make a bong. Then he pointed at a disturbed spot in a rainy cemetery. They couldn't tell if anything was missing or the coffin was even opened.
This is just typical stoner bullshit. The guy is probably laughing his ass off now that the cop actually believed him.

Why do all the police and newspapers claim the head was turned into a bong? That seems unlikely. I imagine it would just be a pipe...
How could you possibly seal up all the holes in the head? Its possible, but why bother?
Anyone else wonder if the cops/newspapers just made that up cuz "bong" sounds like the word to use, even though they probably weren't using it as such? Maybe the cops don't even know what a bong is, which would be surprising, but w/ cops, you shouldn't underestimate their ignorance.
And I have to agree w/ fastfread, this whole story seems to bizzare. I really wonder whether things really went down as such or if the kids weren't joking or the cops guessing?
Someone should see if this area has online court records and get the actual complaint and see what's going down w/ the case.
