It's turkey hunter vs. mushroom hunters
The Gazette
FAYETTE — A dispute near Volga Area State Park between an Iowa City man hunting turkeys and a group of mushroom hunters turned ugly Friday, forcing the Fayette County Sheriff's Office to become involved.
Deputies arriving on the scene were told that Duane Shawn, 46, was in the area hunting turkeys when he was approached by a group of mushroom hunters. A verbal altercation ensued, and Shawn and the mushroom hunters parted ways. However, Shawn and the mushroom hunters ran into each other again a while later. This time, Shawn, still angry from the previous encounter, became so incensed that he threatened the group of mushroom hunters with an ax he took out of his vehicle.
After the incident, Shawn was charged with aggravated assault and was transported to the Fayette County Jail. No one was hurt.

my guess is the shroom hunters violated his space. hunting isnt done with people tromping through the woods nearby.

turkeys are evil animals, so i guess it makes sense (?) that the people who hunt them are also evil assholes.

Why didn't the mushroom hunters have on some blaze orange and the hunter have some blaze orange on the tree ?..
