...set myself up for a 3-way?

So I have been talking to this one chick for about a month and a half now. I really liked her at first, but then I kinda figured out she is on a totally different wavelength than me. I thought she got mad at me cause I didn't hear from her in two weeks so I was like good I like this other girl anyway who is much cooler and isn't a 3 hour drive away. Anyway back to the point turns out the other chick wasn't mad at me and she coming to see me Monday. We are supposed to be floating the river with some of her friends. So me being me I start inviting all my friends to come including the other chick that I really like... I really don't know what I was thinking this could turn out pretty bad or good.
