Recently stumbled across a band called FabrikC, I believe the genre of music is called industrial. Can anyone point me towards other artists/bands of similar style?
check out Front 242's '09:08:04:00 OFF' album (forgot how the numbers go exactly) I'm not really into any other 242 but that album is awesome.

lots of people are into groups like Front Line Assembly, and Download. If you browse the 'similar artists' on Amazon.com you will probably find a decent selection of stuff..
personally i love the industrial sound up until the point that the male singers chime in with that really deep corny vocal style typical of that genre.. it totally kills the dark mood the music sets. but there is still some really cool stuff out there.
I fuckin' love industrial. Skinny Puppy is great stuff, but quite difficult to get into if you're new to the genre. NIN is good for "pop" industrial, and I'd also check out some KMFDM, :wumpscut:, and Velvet Acid Christ., Ministry and Fear Factory are also pretty good if you're into industrial metal. Collide and kidneythieves are some sexcellent industrial bands with female singers, which adds a creepy seductiveness to the dark industrial feel, and lately I've been really digging Grendel (kick-ass angry Terror EBM).
