Weird occult findings on a family members grave
    #8386525 - 05/10/08 06:45 PM (3 months, 25 days ago)

About ten years ago whilst cleaning my grandmothers grave I found two wooden spoons, back to back, tied together with string with weir writing on it.

Yesterday I recieved a phonecall from my Uncle whom had been there visiting, whereupon he came across another, almst exactly the same.

These werent just on top of the grave but buried in the top soil.

Does anyone have any experience or help, im actually a little concerned?

(N.B. the persons grave in question is of an age where it couldnt be a friend and also were a close small family, so its definitely not a family member)

Give them to a witch to dispose of.

Why don't you contact your nearest witchcraft supply store and ask them for advice?

Most important in this situation is to bring peace of mind for you, do what you feel confident.

As long as those who are still living are not upset by this, nothing bad will come of it. Your grandmother is long gone to wherever we go.

Seems positive and protective to me. Spoons have a relationship with salt. Salt is associated with protection, the body, and the Earth, all of which are fitting for your finding. It seems to me to be along the lines of traditional witchcraft or wicca. Of course, with something like this it's hard to tell and I could be completely wrong. If you could remember the writing, it would help a bunch(writing or symbols?).

Just keep in mind that whenever people see something like this and deem it occult in nature, they tend to automatically assume an evil or negative connotation due to their ignorance of the subject and the portrayal society places upon "the occult". Of course, this is oftentimes not the case at all.

That's right. Next time you happen to drop by your friendly neighborhood witchcraft store to pick up your monthly supply of talismans, amulets, rooster's claws and voodoo dolls just ask them for advice.

I'm sure they'll hex..errr, fix you right up!

Around here we have Botanicas and the people that run those stores will help people, whether or not it involves "metaphysics" doesn't matter, they will help.

She explained it as the spoons are tied back to back, as the graveyard is deemed a cold place and therefore encouraging the cooling off of lovers.

Abit of background info is thats its actually a mainly ethnic (muslim mainly) cemetary which was been used for a VERY long time.

She did have a unique name and was from peasant middle-east deacent.

This is, not so much worrying now, as what I seem to be told before is somewhat confirmed, just strange once again their there.

Im hopefully gonna have them in my possession soon to see if they are similar or the same as the others and try to go to someone who knows more and a way of dosposing of them correctly (or putting then back)

I fear I may have dome the wrong thing before I was told to dipose of them in a river and thought the canal would suffice (perhaps not?!)

This is all very intriguing now.

(p.s. these were all found within the first six inches of soil (found whilst changing the flowers bedding)
