Grinders for herbs and pills alike seem to waste alot of material
good ways for grindin,
herb? adderallxr? other solids?
by the way, don't stick anything up your nose, from the research it seems that it's not worth it : P

^^ Maybe if you have a lot of material. A lot of powder seems to stick to the mortar. Maybe you could retrieve it w/ a solvent or something.
I would suggest double zip lock bags and a hammer.

I can usually retrive all my powder of the mortar, but if its just one pill, i usually opt for the dollar bill and lighter trick, as Jewunit stated.

Put something over the pill on a flat hard surface and press down on it with the flat side of a razorblade.
Chop up, repeat as needed.
For reefer, just break it up with your fingers or use a grinder with a kief screen.

For adderalls I get a plate and a spoon. Cup your hand around balls so they don't shoot off, put your thumb in the center of the spoon, and start crushing. With some practice you can do this without making the little balls fly anywhere works really good. Lighter and a bill work pretty good too although I would suggest using something bigger than a dollar bill those are the most handled dirtiest of bills.

That reminds me of a trick with OCs you take a hose clamp and use the metal ridges in it like a cheese grater. I've never seen a way to make the powder any finer. You make an OC 80 into a line so long it can stretch back and forth across a notebook a few times.

That's what we used to do with big chunks of coke. Throw it in the tea strainer and use the end of a Sharpie to push it around.
And the metal hose clamp does work great for shaving down Oxy's. You are left with a big fluffy pile of goodness.
But for Adderall / Dexedrine, I've found the most effective, safe and fool proof way to crush up all those beads is to take a Post it note and fold it in half. Then fold up all the corners to make an enclosed pocket. Pour the beads in there, set it on a desk or table and take a heavy round object and repeatedly roll it back and forth. Open up the pouch and sift / push the mashed up clump of crushed beads to fluff it up a bit and then crush them again.
I use a big heavy glass shot glass to roll around. It's a lot easier to use than a dollar bill (disgusting how dirty those things are) and a lighter. And absolutely no loss of product, unless of course you slip and fling the fucker across the room.

cellophane from a pack of cigs + Quarter works the best for me. For any pill that is, for weed, use a weed grinder or a coffee grinder for best results.
If you want an even better result with pills, get a common hose clamp, flatten it out, flip it over and use it like a cheese grader. That'll easily get you the finest powder possible, but it takes a little more time.
