Owned my GPA this semester C for the win. The professor thought it would be nice to tell me I missed a B by 1/2 a point
(no, he doesn't round)

what a bitch.
I don't mind calculus, as long as I'm constantly doing the homework. Once you get behind on the homework, you're fucked. At least, in my experience.

When I took Calc 2, I was lucky enough to have my grade based off my AP CalcBC score. I think I got a 4 since the test was weighted way too far towards series and Reimann sums and all that junk I had deemed useless when I was reading the entire book a couple days before the test.

a 4?!
I will admit, I didn't pay attention much during the Riemann sums portion, except in Calc I, but what they teach in Calc I is introductory work compared to CalcII. IMO.

He is himself his own World, his own Universe; of any other than himself he can form no conception; he knows not Length, nor Breadth, nor Height, for he has had no experience of them; he has no cognizance even of the number Two; nor has he a thought of Plurality; for he is himself his One and All, being really Nothing. Yet mark his perfect self-contentment, and hence learn his lesson, that to be self-contented is to be vile and ignorant, and that to aspire is better than to be blindly and impotently happy.

WOW, we are in very similar situations!
I took Calc II this semester as well.
I needed a 90% on the final to get a 89.5% in the class which is the lowest grade my teacher will round up.
I got an 89% on the final.. Figures.
I went to my professors office and argued my way out of one of the points he docked on the final. He said he would give me an A, but talk is cheap, ill celebrate when it is on my transcript.
Speaking of infinite Sequences and Series though, that was actually my favorite chapter. maybe im just odd.

Oh, it wasn't Reimann sums, it was Taylor series and stuff, which are semi-easy like Reimann sums, but just as useless and boring. I thought they were just there as proofs.

Yea, i knew what you were talking about.
All of that is part of what my text refers to "Infinite Sequences and Series"
Actually tho, i found it to be one of the most useful sections since a lot of the functions defined in 20th century physics and chemistry can only be approximated. Even simple functions in programing are approximated. IDK, i just thought that shit was cool.

Most programs don't hit vectors until Calc3, but they all go about things differently, so I don't know.

I still haven't gotten my marks for my Calc II class, wrote the exam first, and have all other back but it, stupid TA strike. I think I got my A though since I had 95% going into final. The final was fucking brutal though, for the three hour exam, the only person to leave early left in the first five minutes. She had a panic attack and had to be carried out of the room crying! Last semester the average was 42% (80/100 = 100% too!) and it was curved to 75%, so I think I did fine in comparison to everyone else, lol.
