weird... so when you try to save it, the drop down menu doest show .jpeg?

try saving it as .bmp then open it up in paint or photoshop and then resave it as a jpeg. that might work.

Always an option. Though I haven't used Windows in some time (Linux ftw, baby ) If i remember correctly, you can save it as .jpg if you simply type ".jpg" at the end of whatever you want to name it. Don't quote me on that, though. Like i said, it's been awhile.

well there are many situations where people cannot install whatever they like. Maybe we should just answer his question directly.

But yes, firefox beats the shit out of IE.

peace

ok.

when a picture is in a certain format online, the only way too change it too , from something else is too edit the image later .

example:

even if the save will allow you too change this , it still will be a bmp if you saved as jpg jpg image , or vise versa .when it opens it may open. but the correct extension is still the windows bitmap image.

you can test this by saving other picture file types.

for instance , i change and saved as from an online picture.from bmp too jpg.

i have a prog i made that only reads jpg. image files.
it couldnt read it correctly because it was originally a bmp and not a jpg, and even though the extension was the same , the file wasnt.

try this.

change a video file too a one name like.

avideo1

change it without the extension.write it off
it will still play the file as a video even though it isnt a video file. or named one with an appropriate extension.

in other words, even though you name it different doesnt mean it will be.
