Huxley took mesculine when he died. Hofmann was truly a man of vison, his problem child was developed to help depression and mental illness.Unlike Leary,Alpert, aka(ramm dass)Rock Groups and others....who created this hoopla that stirred up political and public outcry against it(L.S.D.).. and it's testing.Hofmann really wanted to help folks get help for their minds, not abuse a deep sacred trust and mode for spiritual journey. R.I.P. Albert Hofmann forever, you were light years ahead of your time.Your problem child lives on though.peace

I disagree, we should honor the day of his birth, not his death.
A few friends and myself already do this.

I just found a video on YouTube of Alex Grey discussing his portrait of Albert Hoffman, which I bet a lot of you have already seen. Not a tribute, but it seemed appropriate to post it here.
Listen carefully for the part about the baseball pitcher aswell.

I believe that is from Bicycle Day April 19, 2007 - I'm sitting to the right of the camera, out of the frame.

No, he scribbled a handwritten note that he gave to his wife, it said "100 ug LSD intravenous try it" and she injected him with it.

That kinda freaks me out. I don't want to be tripping as I die, I want to experience death as natural as possible.

There is something very odd about modern Christian men -- although fiercely pro-military in their politics and prehistorically macho in their attitudes toward women's roles, on the level of day-to-day behavior they seem constantly ready to break out weeping like menopausal housewives
