Religion is just an attempt to understand a concept that the human mind isn't capable of understanding; creation. Just like science is, just science uses many provable forms of evidence to try to explain creation. While religion uses something the human mind is capable of to explain creation, fiction.
I believe the scientific method is a trust worthy method of coming up with a fix for a problem. But unlike math I don't think science can work backwards. i.e. having an answer and using science to explain it.
As for me I could care less about how existence was created, I'm more concerned with what I can create with existence.

No, i am not sure. I want to believe what i said, but i don't fully. I haven't quite decided to accept Jesus as my lord and Saviour yet, but i do have somewhat of a belief in Christianity.

You're probably confusing fear of death with a yearn to live. Its not so much that you're scared of dieing, you just don't want to not live.
Personally I've lost my fear of death, but today I was tearing down some scaffolding and I was taking off the first section (basically the top section) and sort of lost my balance, 50 ft above the ground. That scared the shit out of me, but I took that less as fear and more as a 'holy shit if I want to stay alive I should re-balance myself' message.

If you have it in you to see your own life from someone else's perspective (I don't blame you if you can't, as few do), what they're doing is perfectly understandable. Until you embrace religion, followers seem absurd to you. The moment that you do, it all makes sense.

But see, you're still not seeing it as they do. To them, you are a child of God that has turned its back on the infinitely good, for a life of sin and misery. It's a moral imperative to turn you around. Can you really blame them for doing that? You can dismiss them as nutjobs, but beyond their initially metaphysical premises, the rest of their actions are perfectly sequitur.

religion has been the cause of so many wars and deaths, because they were fighting for there gods. Killing people over something that has no proof of existence seems pretty insane to me.
And no, you said that those ladies were just doing what they thought was rite, and i compared them to Hitler. Much larger scale, yes but some concept.
