 active cacti?

hi everyone, Ive been reading quite a bit and I think I would like to try tripping on cacti, yet it seems to be a very elusive plant...Ive heard you can buy them at places like home depot? however I cant seem to find any, and a lot of the cacti I find are not labeled...the closest thing I think Ive found is trichocerus grandiflorous (sp.?) is that active? of not, any advice on which store might carry an active cacti such as San pedro or peruvian torch? thanks for the help

look at ethno vendors, you can order trichs online, we cant give sources here though
i wouldnt suggest home depot hunting to a newbie, ull prolly end up with a bunch of cuzcos and stenocereus cacti, which are inactive
and dont bother with peruvian torch, the real potent one is bridgesii

Yeh at the only trichocereus I was able to find at a Hardware store was Trichocereus Thelogonus. It's Inactive. I just bought I'm collecting trichs.
