Hate my existence right now. Im working a horrible job, to save money to go to school. But every time i get ahead i have to spend money. I cant find another job right now, and i just dont know what to do anymore. I hate my job more than ive ever hated anything, and it's killing my spirit. I dont what to go to school in ga, but i dont think im going to have a choice. What are you to do with no money advance your education? I dont wanna get loans b/c that's how they get you. Any thoughts?

im an american citizen, not an american. Im conscious of the american way and it's not my way or belief. It sucks living in a place where youre forced to participate in a game you dont want to play, just to survive. And selling drugs, although LUCRATIVE, is illogical in my mind. To sell drugs, would be risking the very freedom i intend to achieve. plus i already smoke and trip and that's trouble enough. Does anyone know of any grants or other government programs i may exploit?

Yeah, I was being sarcastic.
Just apply for lots of scholarships and stuff.
Are you a "minority"? Because I know there are all kinds of scholarship funds out there for blacks, and asians, and hispanics, etc...

I don't know where to look, but I've heard about lots of scholarships for minorities aswell. Shouldn't be too hard to find a website with good info and resources.

loans man, also if you dont make very much you may be able to get aid from your school. it really depends on the school though and prob the prog you are in. but if it takes loans then thats the way to go because in this day and age you will be fucked down the line if you dont get an education. i.e. never being able to retire and work your ass off till you die. another alternative is joing the military and have them pay for your school. the thing is if you go to school dont go for some bullshit that you wont be able to get a job when you get out. go for a degree that will be useful, and pay off the loans.

As straight foward as that sounds, it's kinda living through the system. I dont like contracts having to pay something back for years is kinda like a prison sentence. And the military? I really dont even like the idea of loans is that really what i have to do?

I'm trying to figure this out myself. It seems CRAZY how much money it costs to go to school, and I don't think I'll ever be able to really afford it without getting loans and eventually making a good living to pay them off.
I don't know a whole lot about scholarships but if you excel or are smart in a certain area such as writing, science, agriculture, etc.. you might be able to find a scholarship that would pay a portion of your tuition.
I have heard about scholarships for minorities as well, might be worth looking into. Maybe some person or organization will put a couple grand towards your education.

Honestly, if you desire an art education of any kind it's best not to borrow if you can help it. Few of these jobs pay anything (which probably isn't your motive anyhow as an artist)
I'm amazed at the friends that I have that, while they're making good scratch because of their degrees owe, 50K-200K in student loans.
I'm in debt too, but not like that.

I would keep working at the shit job until you find something better, nothing sucks worse than being broke and without a job and being desperate to find a job which means you'll just wind up with another shit job.
I'm not trying to be an internet tough guy, but, suck it up until you can do something better.
Good luck!

The thesis that I want to advance today is that the drug war and the laws that prohibit the private consumption of certain drugs are unconstitutional. Prohibition laws, themselves, violate every tenet of limited government that is embodied in our Constitution.

It's probably just the white man trying to keep you down. I'd demand 40 acres and a mule.
But seriously, take some community college classes and bust your ass. Get good grades and look for scholarships. Your 'negrodustrial' descent will probably help you out on that front.

see i was in junior college but my dad was helping me pay for it. But because of his tax situation we could no longer afford it. Plus i was going for networking and it was boring as fuck. Ive been toughing out at this job for about a year and looking for a new one for about as long. Im not sure how much more of it i can take.
