 A. muscaria quick question

Hey guys i'm about to try my first dose of these tomorrow nite now i've done plenty of shrooms in the past and have read up extenseivly on the good/bad effects,now my question is ive dried them and planning to make a tea now i think 7 grams dry should be a good dose for a first try now do you make the tea then strain all the mush material out or just drink the whole lot Cheers Guys

If I were you I'd make some tea. And strain it before drinking. Drinking all this mush floating around in your tea is not a nice experience IMO.

Are you 100% sure that they're Amanita muscaria and not a look-a-like? Some of them are very poisonous.
The drying of Amanitas are very important, as there are certain cernversions of chemicals in them that happen during the drying process.
7 grams seems like a good dose to start with, but I'd eat a gram or less and wait for a good while to make sure they're good.
You probably won't get much from 7 grams, but ya never know. I've never gotten effects on less than 20 grams, but even the effects I got every time were mild (eating this much can potentially be very dangerous). Amanita tea smells like chicken soup sometimes

You say you've read about it... Are you sure you want to do it? I've found hundreds of A. muscaria, but after the reading I've done, I have NO desire to try it.
As far as dose goes, I'm not sure. How did you dry it? You're supposed to dry it in the oven at a certain temp so that the active chemicals undergo a reaction.
Not sure of this, but I think heat causes a decarboxylation of ibotenic acid to muscimol(active chemical). That step is important because ibotenic acid causes lesions in the brain. I'm not sure if it can cross the blood brain barrier though. WiccanSeeker probably can tell you a whole lot more about it.
Be very careful with the Amanita genus though. Every year they're responsible for a ton of deaths world wide. In my opinion, messing with the Amanita genus is like playing russian roulette.

ok i'm certain its the right thing i mean how many other mushrooms are bright red with spots on the top. and i have dried them completely in the oven at about 80 dergees C i have read about them and i love cubies but have always wished for a more spiritual experience that why i want to try these and as for deaths ive only head of 2 deaths and that is from eating a truckload of raw shrooms, By the way i've done 100 cubies in one go before and still didn't get me where i would've liked to get to, i'm also preparing my mind for this experience have been getting ready for 5 days now

There are MANY mushrooms that look EXACTLY like amanita muscaria which do indeed contain toxic chemicals, as stated before.
How much is 100 cubies? If you can't get off on 5 or 7 grams of mushrooms, you should just give up.
This is quite the risk to take man, might aswell just order some dried ones, it's cheap and reliable. I'm not trying to stop you from having fun or something stupid like that, I'm presenting you with a potentially serious risk.
Read what Gumby posted above, about ibotenic acid causing brain lesions...BRAIN LESIONS.
It's your body, but you've been warned.
P.S. If they do happen to be Amanita muscaria, you probably won't feel a thing from 7 grams. At least take my advice and eat a smaller bit and wait for a good while, to see how your body reacts. BRAIN LESIONS!

i guess 100 cubies would of been about 20-30 grams and i'm in new zealand bugger paying for frieght and all that stuff anyways these are wat i found picked and dried, and yes i had many awesome trips on cubies and learnt one hell of a lot .but i would like to try something that effects you differntly thats all gives me a different insight lifes all about experience and as long as these don't kill me which i'm 100% sure wont at all or i wouldn't be taking them i do value my life somewhat and would like to learn and experince alot more before this me thats here and now ceases to exsit so anybody think these are defintly not what i would be wanting to take

i looked bloody everywhere on the net and have checked out every pic of other amanitas also they say to check near the bulb at the bottom for scruffy edges and the ring half way up also going under pine trees

Well I'd suggest straining out the mush when you make your tea.
But make sure you squeeze all the good juices out of that mush.
