the hardest part about eggdrop soup is getting the eggs to come out properly. Sometimes tempering sounds ez, but it may take a few trys.

I would be willing to bet you could do this in a counter-clockwise direction too.
I wonder if that's for luck or something...

I can't stand cilantro
Before buying rub you fingers on it. To see if it has a good test/smell..

I've heard there may be a gentic trait that changes the perception of the plant depending on if you've got it.

Is that a hemisphere issue?
-------------------- It is the international system of currency which determines the vitality of life on this planet. THAT is the natural order of things today. THAT is the atomic and subatomic and galactic structure of things today...There is no America; there is no democracy. There is only IBM, and ITT, and AT&T, and DuPont, Dow, Union Carbide, and Exxon. Those are the nations of the world today...
You are an old man who thinks in terms of nations and peoples. There are no nations; there are no peoples. There are no Russians. There are no Arabs. There are no third worlds. There is no West. There is only one holistic system of systems; one vast, interwoven, interacting, multivaried, multinational dominion of dollars.

when picking your herbs be shure to (especially with basil) 'pinch' off the freshest sides.. .when you prune or pick it you want to do so in a manner so it promotes the plant to bush out, and become more full, rather than long, tall, and spindley. as for basil, if you have enough of it you can make pesto, so good and so simple. some mince garlic and mince mince mince the basil. add it to pasta sauce.
Ive heard cilantro is a hard one to maintain. regular re-planting is in order when growing this herb. but the fun and beautiful thing about it also is the seeds are coirander, wich is a delicious (sp?) spice. Grind up some cumin and coirander, rub it on chicken add some fresh cilantro and mmmmm mmm! Cilantro also adds an amazing amount of flavour to salsa..

I made chicken tacos tonight. Added some fresh cilantro and green onions on top. Yummy.
But while my onions are doing great something is up with the cilantro. Not sure what yet. Looking a little grey. But also some pretty and leafy new growth.
-------------------- Maybe - and that's final.
