Just got a pop-up from shroomery saying
"do you want to hide this thread?"
What's up with that, I didn't do it

Click that thing and you can make threads disappear from your view. At the bottom of the forum you can click 'unhide threads' and magically make them reappear.

Yes, you can now hide threads that constantly annoy you when they get bumped
