 L. casei Defensis - Add bacteria supplement to bulk

Hi,
I looked at "yogourt's bacteria". They sold it in capsules. I dont know if there in "spore" of living but there are millions of them in each capsules.
Thoses bacteria are benefical for people but i dont know if it can be useful in mycologia.

Wrong type. The beneficial bacteria we want to preserve in our casing layers is already in the peat. We pasteurize to kill off most of them, but the few survivors help to provide a small amount of contaminant mold protection, as well as to help stimulate pinning in some species.

so you are a fan of pasteurizing your casing layer ?
how do you go about it, submerge the substrate as a whole or do you just heat the container ?
