Maybe you just needed some veg time.  Our bodies/minds tend to let us know when we need a vacation by forcing us to take one...
...at least that's what I tell myself during those periods.

I can be too hard on myself sometimes.
I got down on myself for the end of the day, forgetting that I had: woken up early that morning, exercised, danced, wrote a poem on the subway, gone to work, visited my mother for dinner, visited yos and moira, and then watched a documentary on music out of Sheffield, U.K. with my roommate. I told myself to go into my room and write and instead just ended up clicking around the Shroomery for an HOUR.

They are so wicked cool.
I had a gross day too. Not just productively, but mentally too. Sometimes I get caught up in these negative cycles where I am un-characteristicly crankey, opinionated and a little bit abrasive.
I guess it happens to the best of us from time to time. If you can recognize your downfalls, well then maybe that is the first step to evolving.
You can't be awesome every single day....can you imagine the pressure?
