Sonoran desert toad
    #8333973 - 04/27/08 12:42 PM (5 months, 11 days ago)

I got mine from bouncing bear, I have had it for two months, I believe its a male from its size I do believe it is a mature male also from what I paid. My cat has tried to milk it, but this toad is stingy with the precious fluid stored in its gorged glands. I do not want to hurt this toad I squeezed at the base of the glands like the gal in the utube video showed( Her toad is female I believe from the size My Bufo is half that size. Has anyone here seen a milking done? Anyone have a trick to pass onto my cat? I have seen him try to scare it, squeeze it to almost pimple popping pressure. He is at a loss and its like 175.00 worth of loss. I asked for a fat female when I ordered and am pissed that I received what I believe to be a male but with BBB being the only supplier of said magic toad whats a cat to do?

Could just leave the poor toad alone and stop pimple popping its glands. I don't think this is the proper forum for this.

The substance is called venom because it will kill a dog or cat, so you should probably keep the toad in its terrarium for the safety of it and your cat.

I'm serious about it being poisonous to dogs and cats though.

The trick is to not pop them too often, although that's what they're meant for. Constant milking will put undue stress on the toad.

so they have to pop? Well no way I am doing that. I assumed it had a port to squirt....dilemma..... I did not understand a popping was needed cant do that to him He already looks at me like a douchebag for squeezing them. If I popped them he would really be pist.

you have smoked yourself silly.
Only squeeze the big one behind the eye on each side. The only time I saw on mine that it didn't come out is when I thought my roomate had been feeding them and really wasn't. Go to the pet store and get fluckers cricket food that fortifies them with vitimins.
Example:
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.bugorder.com/upload/Cricket-Quencher%2520flukers%2520origanal.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.bugorder.com/shopdisplayproducts.asp%3Fid%3D56%26cat%3DCricket%2BFood%2Band%2BWater%2BGel&h=220&w=138&sz=8&hl=en&start=11&um=1&tbnid=rUItNxijDyuW_M:&tbnh=107&tbnw=67&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dflukers%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN

Wait 6 weeks between milkings.OR have two so you can alternate with a three week gap between the 2.
Plus over milking will produce low potency.

He eats like a horse, tho pumping up the crickets is a very good idea thanks I will give that a try. The glands are big and appear full. I wanted to get more of them at least enough to occupy the habitat 50 gal long I thought 4 or five would be enough but, I am not sure now. And battery's really? you are hot fuck nut's. I had a pack-man frog fro en years and he did nothing except eat This reptile is actually pretty interesting he walks around his habitat on hind legs the front are on the glass once he gets to one side he climbs on his log and jumps clear across the tank and splashes into the pond. He does this a few times a week. I have fed cricks, meal worms, grass hoppers, geko's.

Did some research and i must say that it is one very cool toad. The amount of 5-meo-dmt in them is incredible. Up to 15% dry weight, lol that is so macabre..

If you treated the toad properly i see no issues with milking it and for fucks sake (correct me if im wrong) but i highly doubt that popping the toads glans will be a desirable extraction method. It doesnt sound natural, electrolysis or massaging sounds like the best way.

People keep snakes for their venom so toads should be kosher :awesome:

Yeah this whole popping of the glans thing sounds pretty stupid. Just make it think its getting eaten if you dont wanna do electrolysis. Lol just put the fucker in your mouth.
