And you think alcohol should be served in schools?

i never said it should be, but i wouldn't say it shouldn't

if people wanted to learn better, they probably wouldn't want to drink in school, but to deny another person the right to put something in their own body is wrong, anytime, everytime, anywhere, with anyone

by the way, mature people operate on a voluntary basis

immature thugs operate on the basis of force

You can't have it both ways.

In your world everything is legal to anyone regardless of age.

With America being a consumerism economy, it wouldn't be long before they had beer machines in schools.

Drugs should be legal to ADULTS.

Not teens.

what makes you, a human, superior to a highschooler, another human?

and i'm just curious, what punishments would you impose on teenagers that used drugs?

I don't think alcohol should be served in schools, but I see nothing wrong with decriminalizing possession/consumption of alcohol for minors and high schoolers.

If you're younger than a highschooler, then it should your parent's job for being your guardian and making sure you don't drink.

If you're of high school age, then you should at least have some form of rudimentary decision-making abilities. Let those who want to drink, drink. It's of no loss to the teachers who wouldn't have to write out detention slips and suspensions, and it's of no loss to the people who actually want to study and work hard to learn. If you've made it clear that you would prefer to be intoxicated than learn, then go for it.

Laissez-faire is the way to go when it comes to what people should be allowed to put in their own bodies.

at least the authoritarians who want everything illegal are consistent, lol

everyone else just makes up some obscure set of ideologies to govern what should and shouldn't be legal.. it's pretty funny

I've heard taking 50 mL intravenous Draino at the peak of a jenkem trip is almost as awesome as going skydiving and hitting DMT.

On a serious note, what's the active part of jenkem? And what's it similar to, like salvia? I have little experience with the poop gas.

Okay, there can be no serious notes when you mention jenkem. :P

That being said, dunno as to the active part. Some sort of methane-type gas possibly? Ethylene gas is known to cause hallucinogenic visions upon inhalation (some suspect the Greek Oracle at Delphi inhaled fumes of this gas to obtain her trance-like state), but dunno if fermented sewage would produce this. It's supposed to have a dissociative effect coupled with visions, which sounds much like gasoline huffers' trip reports.

"Old man, this is better than cannabis."

Wikipedia says noxious gas.

a Q&A on erowid says methane.

Either way,

jenkem probably isn't anything like its described in the media, if its even a real phenomena w/ signifigant participation

Its probably just oxygen deprivation or volitile organics, like inhaling ether or gasoline

--

as for the guy who questioned me, marijuana has signifigant cardiovascular effects. Anything that can raise your blood pressure can kill you, such as nicotine, meth, excercise, marijuana.

---

And everything should be decriminalized, most legal, for possesion that has a signifigant recreational use or appeal. Sale should be legal and regulated for all drugs that don't present a signifigant risk of being used as a poison and have redeeming recreational values.

Making it a crime for kids to drink is stupid. What is putting them in jail or probation going to do for them? Its insane.

As to anyone420, no I don't think my scheme is inconsistant. Those things without a legitimate recreation use shouldn't be legal, such as injections of KCl. There is no reason for it to be, and the reason for it not to be is that it is used for killing.

As to Wiccan Seekers socialist schema, that's stupid. The sky will not fall. Meth isn't any worse than extasy, an dhas more legitimate non-recreational uses.

Legalize it.

At most, require those who want to use to have a license to avoid civil penalties that requires them to pass an accurate test on the physiology of the drug, mechanism of action, effects of overdose, and emergency treatment.

Coupling this with laws requiring no prosecutions when someone calls for EMS/police would help fatalities.

Those who do die, too bad, but after a few of them perhaps people would learn that they should be educated on what they do.

Just require the drugs be diseminated w/ accurate information, written as in the inserts for pharmaceuticals. Those who don't understand the terminology can have simplified explanations that are accurate, and those things they still don't understand, tough shit. If your not willing to educate yourself on what words and concepts mean you fail at life and shouldn't serve as an example to why I can't indulge in what I wish to, when I'm capable of, gasp, reading and using a dictionary.
