Never gonna happen. There is going to be more forced control and conformity, not less. Though I would be one of the happiest people on this planet to not have any paranoia about it anymore.

I sent my representative an email stating I would actively work against her reelection if she votes no. I'll confront her personally on the issue if the opportunity presents itself as I'm sure she will be campaigning in the area.
On many issues over the years we have tried niceties... never works... thus, I'm starting to believe we need to take an approach that utilizes negative reinforcement. Employ lies and deceit if necessary, start rumors and take credit for them.
If your representative votes no, I urge you to run the fuckers out, even if it means electing the fattest fascist fucking jesus nazi republican in your district. It isn't as though the republican/democrat polarity represents truly divergent philosophies anyway.
Did the democratic groundswell in 2006 lead to progress on getting out of Iraq? No significant changes in policy were implemented, despite the fact that anti-war sentiments were the reason they won majority in that election.
I don't even care for the herb that much, its a matter of personal liberty.

i would sooo vote for that but i'm canadian and cops dont give a fuck about pot up hear.
but seriously i am helping out i posted the article on the WATMM forums, just to give you an idea its sunday night at 1:00 am and there are 45 registered users online so its a pretty popular site, i know that as soon as the U.S. legalizes pot, than Canada will have it legalized in a few days, the only reason we havent so far is because the US would kick our asses.

but hey doesnt Amsterdam have like one of the lowest crime rates in the world?.. likely because theres legal weed and prostitution over there eheh

i wouldnt blame so much the people...something like 2/3 of the american people believe in the decriminalization of marijuana. It's moreso the "power that be" type deal. If it passes (which i dont really think it will though i am holding out some hope) I'm sure people will quickly see the POSITIVE effects

maybe it will get passed though, reducing homicide w/drug relations :P
