I am going to make a flier over the weekend and make a but-load of copies and pass them out at my college, and everywhere else. I am going to the MJ march on 3 may in SF and will pass them out there too (I'm sure I will not be the only one).
If someone could help me making a flier that would be great. I need a list of all the reps in Cali. If some one could point me in the right direction that would be great. Also if you can give me some ideas on what else to put on the flier.

sweet thanks
Also I think this would make a big diff. There was supposed to be a pot disp. in my county, it was finally approved, and then my town chief of police and some other guy put in an appeal against it. they had a hearing for it a few weeks ago and the plan got rejected.... the COP's argument was it is against fed law. So I really hope this passes.

although all that needs to happen for dispensaries to be completely legit is cannabis being rescheduled to schedule 2, which both democratic candidates are planning on doing anyway or so i gather

how exactly would interstate commerce even enter into the equasion when its federally rescheduled as schedule 2, meaning that it has accepted medical use and can be prescribed by doctors
i live in cali and i intend to get a med card before the end of the year, if id just get off my lazy ass, im not talking about state legislation and the supreme courts fucktarded claims that med cannabis transactions are interstate commerce

cuz the commerce clause is the basis for all the law/regs that the dispensaries are violating.
As a floor matter, just cuz something is schedule II doesn't mean it can be prescribed, and indeed, marijuana can't.
In fact, the only reason doctors in california, et cet, aren't being prosecuted and sent to jail is percisely because they don't prescribe marijuana.
If marijuana were put into schedule II that would only liaft some DEA regulations. As teh dispensaries currently don't comport w/ the schedule II requirement, let alone all the fda bullshit.... you get the idea

uhhmm i think youve got a lot of things mixed up schedule 2 DOES mean that it can be prescribed or administered by a doctor, the reason why med dispensaries are being raided is because cannabis is schedule 1 right now, so whats going on in the dispensaries is just glorified dope dealing morphine and other such opiates are schedule 2, therefore they can be used in medicine, cannabis is schedule 1, so it cant be used as medicine

no, the schedules limit use not sanction it. The only sanction the DEA provides is for its own purposes, you still have to deal w/ all the other government peeps. Hydrogen cyanide isn't scheduled, try getting a prescription for that... oh you can't? Right, cuz the DEA's scheme doesn't allow medical use, it limits it.
And then again, while PCP is Schedule II, how many plants are producing it for human use? How many licenses has the fda granted for that application? And as far as I know, PCP isn't even prohibited for medical use.
This is all moot anyways as the dispensaries aren't DEA licensed anyways, and wouldn't be after the fact. Just like they wouldn't be able to start selling PCP, cuz the DEA probably wouldn't let those potheads do it. And then there's the FDA...

It's like saying stop doing what you're not doing.
I doubt many states will follow this lead but I'll put in 100% and email, fax and call my local representative.
Several local and state level ballot initiatives have been defeated by local lobbying by the DEA. If the federal law does not provide for personal use "crime", then the DEA would lose a LOT of this footing. Its an awesome first step, and unless someone does take that first step, we will be stuck with this bullshit forever.
For anyone who is paranoid about sending that letter and identifying themselves - do not submit that letter from the link above. Rather copy/paste URL from the post into your browser and hit GO! When you do it this way, there will be no "HTTP REFERRER" info to link your real identity back to here.

I'm not certain which link you are talking about, but you might want to mouse-over any .gov urls that we link to and look to see where they really go before handing out advice.

I think you misunderstood me. In the first post in this thread - the link to MPP - its not a .gov. If someone clicks a link stuck in a post, most browsers have a "HTTP REFERRER" field, which can be logged by the destination webserver. It doesnt matter if its a .gov or whatever, some of these people are paranoid about submitting real information there - and not having that referrer field prevents ANYONE (whoever it is) at that destination from correlating their real info back to the site that they followed there - this case, this site.
Its good advice, and Im still giving it.

While I can understand people wanting to protect themselves and loved ones, some of this paranoia is over the top. MPP correlating referrers from the Shroomery with submitted personal info? Not likely. I've been donating cash money to MPP for years, writing letters, making calls, my name is plastered all over the Shroomery's legal documentation. Never once have I had to deal with harassment by law enforcement or government officials.
I work from home and am fairly perceptive, and aside from those pesky black helicopters, I don't see anyone snooping around here.
But hey, even if all it gives you is peace of mind, I can't fault you for it. I'll shut up now!

I supported it. There used to be a service that sent a message about legalization to just about everyone. I wrote about eight years ago, and Patty Murray actually wrote me back. I still have the letter somewhere.
