Food dehydrators are a bit more expensive than I'd like to pay though. And I don't think necessary. Are you in a really humid house or something? If so, sprinkle some spores over your carpet and see if anything grows...

I agree with the psycho shrooms. Had about ten-fifteen on Monday night after tripping on Sunday night and lost my mind, vision and ability to walk during the last two hours. Tripped for about 12 hours and i'm still not feeling 100%.

I'll write up a trip report if i find the motivation.

Might go fill up a few more shoe boxes with shrooms tonight though.

P.S

Fuck food dehydrators, last year my mate left some semi-dry shrooms in a plastic bag for six months and when we finally remembered that he had them, we had a munch on them and they were still potent as hell. So I don't really buy into most of the storage and drying precautions to be honest. We might just have been lucky with a few batches, but i have never had problems with potency loss or mould.

I agree with you lukey, the fuss with storing is over exaggerated. I just dry mine out over a couple of days and then slap them in the freezer. I had some of last years' batch for about 9 months and they were still very potent.

Definitely, just leave them in a shoebox for a few days and let them dry normally. It allows you to enjoy your fresh shrooms for longer than a day or two. Sometimes I put a lamp over them with a black shirt, but that's about all the rigmarole I go through.

Wow guys nice finds..

I went around a big gardens place today, (for a few hours) and these are all i found:

Found lots of these:

This one looks like a rather humorous part of male anatomy:

I know they probably aren't magic...but just to be sure can i get an id?

p.s.
Are there any psilocybes that don't turn blue? in victoria this is.
Because my friend said something about yellow shrooms being potent...i dismissed him.
Then later found some weird little yellow ones, got me thinking.
Thanks guys

No mushroom i have found so far has stained blue.
Although i am hopeful that this weekends rains will make more species arise.
Just over the past couple of days i have seen many different species start growing.

I can say FROM EXPERIENCE that shrooms do go mouldy if not dried properly. Maybe the humidity in your house was low and it was well heated, but every single batch of shrooms that ive negelected and/or haven't dried properly have ended up going mouldy and had to be thrown out.

Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it isn't so.

I know it happens, but I think way too many people go through such a hassle in drying them in the first place, when there are simple ways to do it effectively.

Whether a dehydrator is necessary or not, im not sure. Depends on your living situation and the amount of time you have.

Regardless of that, drying your mushrooms is a way to guarantee their longevity and potency.
