you must not be using a good grinder then, mine kicks ass, does a better job than a mortar and pestle could any day, cost me a bit though i like my coffe, bud and shrooms. What ever floats ya boat.

coffe grinder all the way. you just have to make sure that they are FUCKING dry or else they won't turn to powder. Once you think they are dry, dry a bit more.
it would take me hours to grind my last haul up with a mortar and pestle.

Hello all, ive found the same with my native patch one medium flush and thats it! what the hell? must be the stinkin weather or some punk gets there before me...
On the subject of grinding i used a coffee grinder once and even after washing it took at least two quarters for a mix not to taste like mushroom! so the next time i tried the blender and it kicked ass. Wasnt half as tedious as the grinder and much easier for larger quantities...:wink:TMO unless mushy mix is your thing hehe:mushroom2:

Once I am done with powdering my shrooms I take the lid off and give it a clean with hot soapy water and dry it out. Then I scrape most of the shroomy matter off the blade and bowl area of the grinder. Then i get a matchstick and press the hidden power button, it gets most of the powder out when the lid is off.

whats the best way to collect spores so i can put them in water and spray it somewhere to get a new patch for the next season?
just the usual way of putting the cap on a glass or paper and putting a glass over it? and how many mushrooms worth of spores would you use in a bottle to make a new patch?

the best way is to chop the stems off you shrooms and face gill side down on either white paper or foil (which is much preferred). Put a cup or a bowl over your print so any breeze wont effect it, what i like to do is lay down some foil inside a board game box, put the caps down and then put the lid on.
Print for atleast 24 hours for best results.
If you printed on foil, use a spray bottle to spray the spores of the foil into a cup or into the bottle you want to use. If you used paper then just scrape them into the cup or bottle. Then as easy as that you have some spore water ready to super soak your future patches:grin:
Btw you dont really need many prints, unless you want to make many litres of spore water. 1 nice print per bottle would be fine though more the merrier:thumbup:

some handy information there,
say u got spores of 1 decent sized shroom into a 600ml bottle of water, would u use all that water on 1 patch of woodchips that is say a couple of meters wide, or would you spread it over a few patches
i just dont want to put too little spores or waste spores when i could be spreading them everywhere

also dizz when u do this, how often does it work? and will u see shrooms popping up by the next season or will it take a couple of seasons?

thanks

Cheers for the info guys shall give the grinder a burl tonight ...

As for dryness otways is still wet as, haha my sisters mates mates were camping nearby my uncles place where I was staying/hunting, anyway they couldnt find any so they came to 'borrow' a few of mine for a sesh.. so anyway I dosed up the 3 of them that came over, but didnt have enough for the rest of their mates back at their camp.. So anyway they went back and had a sweet trip but the rest of the mates got really shitty that they missed out, caused a big blue.. So we go over there in morning only to lead them on a 200g fresh hunt around their campsite - so good to see their faces hehe...

So yeah moral of the story is that the otways are the rhit for hunting  :mushroom2::mushroom2::mushroom2:

Thats shockin to hear people fighting over shrooms  good to hear you found some more though, i bet that made them happy.
The ottway ranges are great, fungi heaven infact, i swear theres a billion species of shrooms through out there.

Frank, i think youll find it much easier using a spray bottle instead of a normal bottle, it will go much further. For a patch a couple of metres wide, 1 nice print would be plenty:thumbup: Sure you can give it a little drowning if you feel like it, though do try and spread the love
It may take a few seasons however to build a good mycelial network within your sprayed areas, so until then youll have to keep hitting up your current patches:thumbup:

Lol, you guys and your grinders!
Go the scissors; its very repetitive, takes alot of time, and doesn't get em anywhere near powder. Then go the P&M for a further 2 hours. Entertains the family for a week!

About the spore water, its dodgy enough walking around reserves like your drunk or lost with scissors and an empty Hungry Jack's bag, let alone with a spray bottle. But that said, it does feel good helping our fungus friends out.

So does the mushroom season keep going throughout the winter? Or what species would continue to grow?

hey dude, getting close...you got strophs which subs are known to grow near. Perhaps find a more mulchy area, the area i can see in your pics seems very grassy.

Juke I saw one of those last hunt. The purple is pretty cool. Any one seen those tiny bright cherry colored ones?? Cap prolly no more than 1cm across but the cherry color is so vibrant. I'll try get a pic next time I see one.

Just a question about dosage. (Yes I have used the dosage calculator) I'm wondering if there is different plateu's with dosage. I had 2.8g last time, and I'm thinking bout 4g next time. How much more intense would the 1.2g be?

I ask this because the dosage calculator says 3.1g for a lev 5 trip, meaning i would have almost had that last time, and be somewhere like LEVEL6 for 4g?

has anyone heard of putting mushies in homebrew beer?

I saw it somewhere or just imagined it...
I wonder how stable the psilocin would be in an acidic, alcoholic solution, and how long it would last.

Be pretty awesome... "This homebrew has a real spark to it"
