Well i think the Sydney season is nearly, if not over already. Went for a quick walk yesterday arvo and only found some very struggling pins. Left them but i dont think they're gonna make it .
Mountains would still be the go though i reckon.. I dont know maybe our spots have been raped Stoi

Yeah maybe brother, id give a nod to the end of the season for Sydney at least, general chodeishness seems to be prevailing, my advice to those still hunting is to either move inwards into the interior, like plonk said, blue mountains and the farmlands beyond that. That or you can move to queensland.
lol. Does anyone know where you can buy glass jars good for making cubie cakes? hehehe

Or $6 for 24 glasses at Kmart. It's a waste of money buying special jars for cakes IMO.

thanks, that particular mushroom is going crazy on big piles of dirt at the moment. Weird because everything else is dry. Alan can you have a look at my ID request on them? I only ask because the prints are definite purple/brown, and they're coming our of dirt, not chips. It has me stumped.

A community service announcement -
The girlfriend and I were shadowed and photographed by a creepy looking dude in The Royal National Park. I wasn't mushroom hunting at the time, just chilling with my girlfriend. He followed us quite openly, taking photos with a telescopic lens camera. The way events panned out mean we are absolutely sure this is what he was doing.
I don't know what his motives were, of course. Probably voyeuristic I imagine. He gave me real hard glares and my girlfriend real lecherous ones.
This guy looked pretty dangerous. If I WAS doing something illegal, I would have seriously freaked out. He was about six foot, forty to fifty years old, with that 'old time brawler' look about him. Greying reddish hair, longish, with a longish beard. He had those hard eyes that make you glad their possessor isn't currently losing their temper.
His camera was a basic digital SLR with a lens that looked to be about 20cm long.
When we caught his eye (for instance, when he leaned out from behind a tree and we saw his camera flash) he would pretend to be bird watching.
I made 100% sure he did not see our number plate (by standing near him while my girlfriend drove off... freaky stuff!)
So I don't know if it has anything to do with shroom hunting, but shroomers in the Sutherland area might want to be aware that this guy is around. He was brash enough that it seems like he is quite used to this kind of activity.

I know how strange it sounds but hey, too weird to make up really. We were fully lucid and the events were exactly as described. Anyway, I'm not interested in defending the truth of the events, just putting it out there for NSW shroomers.

Yeah that story is not comforting. I dont hunt around there anyway and have no plans to so yeah. Hopefully that guy sticks to Sutho
On a related note, when i was younger i was rolling a joint once in the bush near the back of my house with a mate. We saw a guy walking up the path toward us. He was a couple of hundred metres away so we just kept an eye on him as he got closer, and would put out the joint if he got too close. Anyway he noticed us somehow and walked straight toward us. We were young, so thought we were going to get arrested so stashed the joint and hid in some bushes.... We stayed there for a while, didnt hear anything, so we walked out.
Only to find the guy walking around completely naked in the bush, right where we were before. Me and my friend were 13 yrs old (and both male i might add) at the time. This guy sees us and gets naked. there are some fucking freaks on this planet man...
We had gloveguns though (you know, those cardboard tubes with a glove finger on one end, and you can shoot marbles out of them with painful results).. So were started firing in his direction while running away back to my house...
Fucking fruitloops...
