Hidey ho. I'm back in sydney, and it just started to rain, exciting. I went over to see my dad in NZ, took some nice tabs over there, even good bud, and I hate bud! Anyway, I hope it continues to rain, I might have a trek around LCNP some time. However, my new phatties arrived so i'll probably go dump some pills with a buddy of mine and shuffle for 2-3 hours or so, until we're scat as f**k(sounds like a plan!)
Anyway, goodluck to everyone who goes for a hunt. I'm glad to be back.

NSW - Far South Coast = Worst place for Subs! WTF!
I find plenty in Melbourne when I go, but haven't barely stumbled across any here on the South Coast!

Rain for the next few days as well apparently.
Checked my spot, still nothing. It was too wet though, so maybe somehting will come up on the weekend A pair of tiny galerinas were growing actually. Damn death shrooms.
The mountains have been copping good rain... Still need to find a patch there. Ive only been once and failed. Anyone got tips for hunting that area? I guess what i mean is, should i be foraging through the bush or should i stick to more public areas where wood chip beds tend to be(man-made parks etc)? Question probably already asked, please dont kill me.

This rain is mad but. I have a very good feeling about shrooming this weekend because the rampant rusty brown spored mushies in my garden look like theyve been given steroids since it started and have doubled in size and number, if this is anything to go by id bust out the ole walking stick and basket with a vengeance. The shrooms i found in LCNP were primarily growing out of woodchip beds, but ironically the best specimens were in a clump of short grass I guess as long as there is pine and eucalypt present it shouldnt matter too much? At least that was my impression.

Nah no creek anywhere near this one. After this house is built theyll probably fence the yard and ill lose my patch So im hoping to get a few more out of it before the warm weather comes back.
Not looking forward to eating the subs after indulging in the beautiful tasting cubes. I think tea is the go with subs

ZenXi6, how far south are you?
I know they grow as far south as the Shoalhaven river.
Figure out which mountain areas trap the cold and moisture. You can do this by studying weather patterns. There are several locations near the Princes Highway.
Parklands on the coast are generally barren. Look to the hills!
And praise to the lord be for the rains!

Went for a hunt with Stoi this morning, just got back. Found approx 50-60 shrooms. Very nice morning!! Plenty more pins coming up too, so should be good for next weekend if conditions stay as they are.
Todays find (this is only half of what we found, Stoi has the other half ):

My half of the haul:

How is everyone else going?
