damn right the rains are here!!
went out this evening, in the glimpse of sun/cloud before it got dark.. already found a few pins popping up. So far only strophs though... boo...
Lane Cove national park is absolutely full of cort's by the way. Very beautiful mushroom. Wish i had my camera  ..

well after the 5.6mm of rain combined on tuesday and wednesday night and the good heavy soaking weve had all day today and early drizzle forecasted for tomorrow along with the recent freezing conditions, id say it might be time for another hunt

Haha, crack up. I dont know if anyone else has thought of this, but ive found that using Google Earth is a great way to identify hunting grounds throughout the country, it allows you to get a good birds eye view of terrain and conditions in any area and you can mark them for further research, for anyone who hasn't checked this out i would highly reccommend it. It doesnt do the work for you, but its fun to use, and provided you really have done your research, it can be a great help. Im gonna try and get out tomorrow afternoon for a few local spots so hopefully ill have some more pics up by nighttime.

checked my patch this morning and only found lots of rotten subs, that i couldnt find a time to get back up there for.
also about half a dozen babys that where not worth worrying about. Unfortunately the sun is out now so looks as tho my hopes have faded again lol.
2 days of heavy downpour should get them moving again as the ground wasnt really that damp.

i was very lucky... the patch i found was very small, probably the last few stragglers from the last time it actually rained... If id only known about a month ago. Those rains in June would have made it decent.

I was out hunting that spot last month, right after and during the rains, all i could find were tonnes of Stropharias, Phallus rubicundus, Gaestrum triplex, Psathyrella, a clump of Agaricus and a few different un-ID'd brown ones...

Ate my first find tonight; I shared it with a friend. I was talking to some guy for a while.. he seemed cool and told me to stop playing with the magazines, put them back on the rack ...pretty sure that was jesus.
