Picked those from a monster patch in the Southern Tablelands area, the mind boggles when I walk thru that place... it'd be close to a football field in size, covered in 'em. The patch is right next to a Eucalypt/pine reserve, but the subs ignore those areas. Located on a woodchipped slope. Great fun

nice to see pictures of that place... from the second pic alone you'd think it would be a shroom wasteland... never seen shrooms in a place like that... but the other ones looks like you've found the hidden shroom capital city! I expect your next photos to show little shroom warriors with little bows and arrows and shit..

I can understand that! lol
Was that area you were picking from a park, or a fire trail area? It looks like strange, like the bush but with woodchips.

rofl great stuff UG They certainly look like a shroom civilization
The area is on the edge of a couple of sporting fields, on the outskirts of a small city in Southern Tablelands. A nature reserve is located right next to the fields, and are separated by another field with a large slope running along its sides, covered in woodchips, with eucalypt/pine bush starting 1/2 meter from the top of the slope. A seperate area nearby where the council kept piles of woodchips has also been overrun Directly above the slope is a couple of large pine + eucalpyt trees, which seem to be dropping debris/pine needles onto the slope. Water collects in a long trough at the top, so it gets plenty of moisture into the slope.
I couldn't believe they were subs when I found the patch, it was/is all too good to be true. My idea of mushroom heaven lol

haha yeah, not nearly as much walking as hunting in the mountains/bush tho
The variation in Subs in the different environments can be extremely varied, always interesting comparing potency heheh
Some more photos from today, + a few shots of the area. Enjoy

Yes indeedy, people might call my area..St.Ives, scrap that, people DO call my area St.Ives, because that's where I live. And - to everyone who wished me luck (I thank you anyway )..guess what !!!! No mushrooms, yep, zero, zilch, a duck. I'll be starting a poll later, to whether or not I should end my life, so keep an eye out for that.
Ok, so - no luck these past couple of days, (tommorow) on sunday, i'll be checking out some botanical gardens, so, I'll tell you if, or if I dont find any.
Take care. Gus.

Oh. My. God.
I look at awesome hauls like some of you are finding.. then I go on 2 hour bush walks through areas I would consider perfect shroom territory.. barely find any mushrooms at all and the ones I do are MEH!
What am I doing wrong!?!?! I used to be able to find a lot in Melbourne, now I'm on NSW's far south coast and nothing!!! I'm planning on tripping really soon.. wanted to tonight in fact, but no such luck!!! Took some pics for y'all

Disappointing.. but beautiful walk!!
