cool man, then if you were starting an outdoor patch you'd probably be best using Sydney prints; The mountain printed patches i seeded last year haven't fruited yet. The Sydney spores probably have a better chance of fruiting in the warmer Sydnbey temps?

cheers for all the feedback everyone!! i ate 8 decent sized subs last night and was borderlining being really fucked. the experience was great and i cant wait to try it again with more. no hallucinations but visually everything was distorted and didnt look normal at all. all in all it was a very pleasant and overwhelming experience. the previous night i consumed 3 just to get a feel for it. thankyou everyone on this forum for your help on this endeavour it has been a long one and its only just started!!

Well i went on my first shroom hunt today.
I believe I only found one, but I'm doing a spore print at them moment and I'm waiting to see.
I found a bunch of them (10-20), except they were all rotten and bruised, so i didn't take them.It took 2-3 hours and was pretty exhausting, but i now know where to look and what for.
On the other hand I found some freaking sweet spots to grow.
Questions:
How long does a Sub take to bruise? And also is it possible for Subs to grow at the base of a tree, but in a indent that looks like they are growing from the tree itself?
I remember someone saying Subs don't grow on trees.

ActiveA: generally no they don't, i doubt you have a sub... the blue should be pretty obvious even without needing to bruise them.

Ramshackle: Hey man, i live in the eastern suburbs but my patch is up in the blue mountains, this grew after nearly 100 mm of rain in a week yielded me 58 grams dryed, some subbies weighed up to 2 grams each dry!!! Twas tempted to have a bit of a chew whilst i was picking ahah!

Clearly I need to get my ass to the mountains. My local area Chatswood - Gordon has yielded very little for me. I was so close with a find at a horse race track in the city, but they were Panaeolina (previously Panoleous) foenesecii.

Well, still no luck for me; congrats to everyone on their finds i've been trekking around Sydney, parks and walks alike. Still nothing, maybe years of smoking bud has left me brain dead, and unable to see mushrooms, who knows. Anyway, it rained a little bit the other night, and a little bit just then; so hopefully should promote some fruiting tommorow, i'll be getting up early tommorow, for a fresh hunt with undisturbed grass and etc. So wish me luck, i'll tell you all if i've found anything - to give my fellow starving sydney'rs a glimmer of hope!
