Hey if you get no luck around Oberon you can always stop by the upper mountains and pick up some subs  There might be subs in the forests anyway

Yeah hopefully I'll get to have a look in a few different places. Might go with your suggestion of Mt Wilson too. Time will tell anyway.

Well, went for another hunt today, went through a few forestry areas on the far south NSW coast,
Found some mushrooms... but again, no actives. Had a fair hunt through the bush too.
Found a random bush house, and in the middle of the forest, up high on a mountain, I found an official marking beacon for NSW mapping... weird!! Also found a bunch of RF towers off a track a bit.
I feel like i'm getting so close!! Not sure what these mushrooms are, but not actives that I know of, so I let them be! Also saw a really really blue mushrooms.. was very odd! didn't get a pic of it unfortunately.
I noticed that most of the shrooms I found were few and far between, making me think the season isn't quite in swing here yet.. there's been a bit of rain and some moisture, but not significant amounts of rain. Perhaps i'm just looking in the wrong places! These kind of places were exactly the spot to look in the Dandy Ranges - Melbourne.. but might be different here, considering the climate is slightly different!
Anyone on the south coast had any luck?
I've still got that grow box thing goin.. will provide updates in a bit.. seems to be colinating slowly.

Hey I'm ActiveA, I'm new to shrooming and I'm looking forward to finding some.
I live in the north shore, 15 min from CBD if there isn't any traffic.
I'm looking to find shrooms, I've heard they are in Lane Cove National park.
I've found some A.muscaris like 100m from my house, but from what I've heard they aren't exactly the best to take, I want cubes instead.
If anyone will help me or give me some pointers I'll love them for it.
AND. If someone would come shrooming with me or something I'd be willing to pay them to show me some basics, I can pay cash (I'm not stupid, so don't try and rip me off), other...Substances (the weed is FANTASTIC at the moment).

ActiveA welcome dude, for a start your not looking for cubes, your looking for subs. Psilocybe subaeruginosa - the only active mushroom in Sydney.
Check local parks, there are plenty on the north shore. Every square foot of woodchips is a possible sub habitat, check them all. I've heard of finds in bush similar to the LC Nat. Park, but if you do check in there, keep to the wetter areas like where ferns grow.

If you don't mind me asking, do the effects from Cubes and subs vary? Or are they the same thing because of the chemical content?
Well next time it rains I'll be walking down to the park to have a look. I'm actually quite pissed off. For 4 years I lived in Orange, and went to go and see friends in Oberon at least twice a month.
Thanks again, I'll just post pictures if I can't ID them off a picture or something. Whats the most recognizable feature of P. subaeruginosa?

shit yeah man a sub is really potent compared to a cube....and they do have the same chemical just different amounts the p.sub is one of the most potent (not the most) on the market, like azures are

it's best to go hunt for your self and get it ID"d
there are lots out there so you need not worry about buying them

What is the dosage for Psilocybe subaeruginosa? Dried and fresh?

if i were you i would have 5 caps 20cent size and 5 stems or 1.5 grams .....thats dried
